Guest guest
Home remedies for Vatic problems take a long time to obtain satisfactory cure. Description of travelling back pain alone, makes only tip of the iceberg visible. One should write age, height, ethnicity, location, food habits, lifestyle, the history of the probelms etc. Then it becomes more or less an ayurvedic consultation without anyurvedic style of examining the patient. only 33% of data is available to Vaidya online. Despite this, home remedies are something which are widely applicable, and there is no harm in trying. Take 2 cups water, add 1/2 - 1 tsp ginger powder to it. boil on slow fire till 1 cup remains. add 1-3 tsp castor oil when look warm and drink this on empty stomach as soon as you get up. start with lower quantity where range is indicated and increase the quantity slowly as you progress. one or two cloves of garlic, taken in the lunch by chewing with water/buttermilk/yogurt in the beginning of lunch also help to some extent. If backpain is a result of poor blood circulation arising from reduced pumping of heart, then too this remedy is helping. those suffering from Hypertension also can use this. if pitta vitiated, take garlic with yogurt or buttermilk. Similarly, take 1 cup milk, mix in 1 cup water, 1/2 - 1 tsp ginger powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, slow boil till 1 cup remains. add 1-3 tsp castor oil when look warm and drink at bedtime. There is no turmeric added in the early morning decoction. The ginger and turmeric is no more " hot " herb when taken in this fashion and milk is no more " allergic " product when taken in this fashion. Take this for 60 days or till you find back pain occured only for few minutes in 10 days time. If you are unable to sleep well, add 1 tsp aswgandha powder in bedtime decoction, but then you should also add little cardamom powder just before drinking. Despite following this for a long time, you may not get cure unless you follw vata pacifying diet. Many files are there in group website in " files " section, which talk about vata pacifying diet, and they also dicuss foods available all across globe. Stopping salt for few days, and eating only khitchri (moong bean dhal and rice 1:1 by volume) with few spices added(Ginger, coriander, cummen, fenugreek, little ghee, turmeric, ajwain etc) light massage by Mahanarayan/Mahavishgarbha/Naratyan taila may also help. Vata also gets tamed by worshipping the " air " and " ether " principle from which " vata " originates, by meditation, breathing etc. These fall under yogic remedies and not " home remedies " . ____________________ some home remedies to get rid of severe Ama in my back area , and this keeps travelling everyday in different section of the back. Guest guest
Dear sir, I would like know if this home remedy will balance all type of vata in the body or is it specific to the vata in the back? I have pain/stiffness in the lower back. My bowel movement is not good: I have a feeling that evacuation is not complete. In the morning when I get up, my body feels heavy. I am total vegetarian. This has been going on for last 2 years. If I see the pulse at right wrist: I sense lot of vata/pitta. I don't feel anything below the kapha finger. From time to time I take milk+suger+Isabgol or milk+suger+Ashwagandhadi Churna (from Baidyanath). Do you suggest that I try this remedy to balance vata? You try the recommendation given with one difference. IN morning, ginger decoction and garlic take as recommended. At bedtime, in milk+water+ginger powder decoction, you can add 1 tsp aswagandha powder also. Please see that boiling is done slowly and till half the liquid remains. when you drink, you may add a little candy sugar (Khadi sakkar) if castor oil is not palatable.
