Guest guest
With warm and cold water alternations, dip her feet in tubs of water. Start with warm and end with a warm soak. do this for 20 -25 min. Soft music or her favorite stories will help, too. Hands and feet massage will quicken the response. Hugs are always helpful, too. ___________________________ My daughter who is 10 suffers from mild headaches anything I can do to help her without taking medicine . Guest guest
Where do you live? If she does not drink a lot she may be helped by drinking four glasses of water daily. Massage of her face with sesmae oil may help first rub the forehead and then move down under the eyes - rub from the bridge of the nose to the ears with mild pressure to help clear the sinuses (you mentioned allergies) then follow from the base of the ear to the throat. If you want to use ayurvedic herbs a tsp of amla and honey before bed followed by warm milk or warm chamomile tea. You can also use ginger tea to help her digestion - often times allergies are present due to issues in digestion. If you also ensure that she eats a cup of yogurt with live bacterial cultures daily her digestion would be helpd too. _ She wears glasses all the time , when we where at the doctor they told us she has a mild case of seasonal allergies which she takes medicine for ( 3 months now) also I think she gets tired from school work but when she wakes up in the morning she also sometimes has a headache. Guest guest
Many reasons why children can get headaches and few home remedies are mentioned in:(access message by clicking on the link) http://health.ayurveda/message/1530 Since you are seeking " no drug " approach, it may be better to investigate the cause, pattern of headache, and adopt simple remedies mentioned by others and in above post from archives. ______________________________ My daughter who is 10 suffers from mild headaches anything I can do to help her without taking medicine . Guest guest
That is wonderful! You may also want to check her diet - is she constipated? If she is, that can also cause headaches and seasonal alergies. You can make her ginger and chamomile tea - tea bags are fine for the chamomile and fresh ginger can be grated and boiled along with the tea bag just a 1/2 inch peice is fine. She can drink this after meals to help digest. Honey can be added after taking the tea off of the stove _____________________ We live in Brooklyn NY , I have purchased a Neti Pot and also cold pressed sesame oil for drops in each nostril ( she is doing this daily for 4 days now ) hope this will help.
