Guest guest
Dear all, Can someone suggest me home remedy for my twisted ankle and nerves. It is swollen, unbearably painful. I would tell you the background. My age is 49. While walking on the road, I toppled. First I hit my knees on footpath edge, they pained so I took support of forearms, they also pained. Finally I tumbled, twisted feet and hit the street wall. My forearms swole, and gradually both the feet. Right foot is worst. It is puffed like a bun and painful. I did home remedies....like putting them in hot water, termeric powder quoting etc. I get temporary relief again it is the same if I walk. Muscles and nerves are sprained. Luckily city scan was normal. I would be grateful if you suggest me strong remedy. I am unable to sleep at nights due to pain. Guest guest
Dear Vrushali - Homeopathic Arnica and Hypericum will help you with swelling and pain and a firm crepe bandage will support the ankle and help reduce the swelling, if possible wrap firmly from the tips of the toes to the knee for maximum support - cold water and ice is helpful rather than plain hot water, if you can get DMSO then this will also help when applied topically with pain and swelling also - you may have to google to find it in your area - meantime our Vaidyas will be able to help you with local ingredients I do pray you will be more comfortable soon, Best, Jane
Guest guest
Here is a home remedy from message 3542, with ingredients in every indian home. When swelling is produced by micro fracture in bone, or twisting of ankle, joint, strained ligament, a poultice made from Rice floor (4 tsp), turmeric powder (1 tsp), Milk (about 4 tsp), mix well, heat till cooks to a sticky paste and apply in look warm condition. Wash after paste dries up. This treatment helps when swelling is due to bite by a poisonous insect also. And one more remedy, if you have access to neem leaves, basil leaves. IF not you will definitely have black salt and mustard. Tide boiled neem, basil, tamarind leaves or apply salt or turmeric or paste of black salt and mustard on swelling. Have 2-2 gm of mixture of Kadu Chirait and dry ginger with water. _________________ Can someone suggest me home remedy for my twisted ankle and nerves. It is swollen, unbearably painful. Guest guest
Hi Vrushali, Please watch the documentary film on Ayurveda using the link: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4697724121661222905 The movie is about 2 hours long, which is worth watching. Alternative medicine is gaining momentum in this modern age. There is a vaidya in Chennai who treats the kind of issues you identified in your mail. It is better to treat the symptoms before it gets worse. All the best in your road of recovery. ___________________ Can someone suggest me home remedy for my twisted ankle and nerves. Guest guest
This is a fascinating documentary. Thanks for posting it. A question for the experts in this group: Have the writings of Agasthyar that the vaidya had (on parchments and in the form of Tamil poems) been translated and studied by the Ayurvedic institutes and colleges in India? Guest guest
Dear Mentors, Sorry to continue from here but i thought topic is in discussion. I have a 9 hours standing job and in 1988 i had an accident due to which my pettila bone was damaged. It was operated but still i have a limp it was left leg and on the right foot i have cellulose. Now i see lot of nerves breakdown on my left foot and i get tired. Is there any sort of medication or oil which i massage and i can feel comfortable. Guest guest
The side effects of surgeries take a long time to be known. Numbness, cramping, incxontinence, tingling, fatigue, local insulin resistance.. the list is long. You described problem as if it is highly local. Ayurvedists do not see the problem as just local. Meet a Vaidya and obtain opinion. Many new techniques of massage, medicines have come in recent years and surely you could get cured. For instance despite good blood sugar management by allopathic medicines, patients who had pains in legs, foot and could not walk, are now walking 2-3 km a day with panchgavya medicines. Same kind of medicines are now replacing statins, antihypertensives and heart medication also. The art of marma massage which is extensively used in Kerala produces amazing results in many neuro-skeletal pain induced disabilities. __________________ I have a 9 hours standing job and in 1988 i had an accident due to which my pettila bone was damaged. Guest guest
My list is long too. I have ostospania, frozen shoulders, neurological disorders, lumber spondylosis. My body constantly pains as if unknown numbers of nails are stuffed in it. Nerves and muscles are tied tight Instead of going to Kerala, is there any vaidya in Mumbai who will treat equally? My foot had improved and did not feel pain at all while walking. Yesterday I went to market, same foot banged on wooden box causing swelling and unbearable pain again. I am tired of it. That means oral treatment gives temporary effect. I would be highly obliged if expert Vaidya from Mumbai is recommended. If not, I am ready to go to Kerala, Chennai. ___ Meet a Vaidya and obtain opinion. Many new techniques of massage, medicines have come in recent years and surely you could get cured. Guest guest
A case of twisted ankle had come to me. It was that of one senior sports trainer of the Indian Army who was working as anatheletics coach. He got well very soon by practicing ATBSNR as per details at www.atbsnr.com. So there is no harm in visiting the website and curing yourself, God willing. Try and let me know for more info. Even otherwise, Pune is much closer to Mumbai than far away places and there is no harm trying out simple cures that work wonders. & nbsp; S.M.ACHARYA, Nature Cure & amp; Spinal Rehab Centre, 155 St. Patrick & amp;#39;s Town, Pune 411013, Ph: +91-20-26870204, Cell: 91-9422314693, :________________________________ I have ostospania, frozen shoulders, neurological disorders, lumber spondylosis. Guest guest
Can you describe in details what does Panchkarma treatment consist? Is massage included? What are the charges for the whole treatment? Is it indoor treatment? What is the duration? Would it give me permanent relief? I would prefer indoor treatment with proper dietary programme so that I can relax to full extent. I stay in Thane _______________ Your body needs a proper care with so many complaints. Guest guest
Vrushali, Much of your queries can be properly addressed only after a detailed check-up. There are various treatment modules in Panchkarma. and yes, massage is included, if indicated therapeutically. With such crippling problems, and no female companion to assist you, it would be advisable for you to get admitted for treatment. You may need admission from fifteen days to one month. Proper diet in accordance with your dosha imbalance and Prakruti will be provided. The treatment may be a long-term process, depending on the damage to the tissues and your host-capacity to recover. I have already advised about hte hospital in my earlier mail.
