Guest guest
Dear Vaidyas, Over the last couple of years I have been getting sudden sweats that leaves me almost drenched. they pass away and then I almost feel chilled. I somehow associate this with toxisicity, because whenever, i sweated, I used to get an attack of asthma. Of late, the sweats have increased their frequency to about 20 to 30 episodes a day. I am also sufffering from very poor digestion. I am getting a lot of mucus and gas build-up too. On the other hand I am almost menopausal. So are these sweats because of menopause or toxic build-up? And what would the ayurvedic solutions be?Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to go through this. Would be grateful for any advice. Warmly, Suma Varughese
Guest guest
Sweating has many causes - emotional and physical - are you in a land where Malaria is rife? Is it possible you have contracted something like this? If you are sure that this is not so, may I ask you how much water you would drink in a day? Do you have a healthy diet? Do you practise meditation, pranayama and Hatha yoga to help both relax you and to help balance your hormonal status and your endocrine system? Guest guest
Yes, malaria is rife in Mumbai where I live, but I am sure I do not have it. What I do have are asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. I drink about 10 glasses of water and I do practise pranayama but not meditation or hatha yoga. because of my poor digestive capacity and the fact that I have these ailments, my ayurvedic physician has put me on a severe diet - no wheat or wheat products, no milk or milk products, no fruits, no dals save mung, no gas-giving veggies and no non-veg. My diet is therefore mainly rice, rice products, nachni, dal and veggies. Right now, I seem to have a major probem with wind - I can't seem to pass it, and that is causing me constipation too. Guest guest
If you are interested in trying a Homeopathic remedy for the wind problem I would take Carbo Veg 12x three times a day for a week ...............
