Guest guest
My symptoms began on March 3rd. They began as burning ears, burning throat, burning vagina, couldn't hear, slight vomiting, no energy. I did not want to even eat. I took some aconite 30, because that is all we had. I did saunas to help me sweat thinking that might help, but I was so fatigued I dreaded those, they just made me more tired. I would sit down in the shower afterwards and literally fall asleep. My diet consisted of lots of kitcheree, and lots of hot lemon juice with water. I gargled with warm salt water, did the neti pot with pinch of turmeric and salt (which did not have any effect, usually it does!) I went to the doctor to get it diagnosed (on the 17th), and at the time I could not hear much of anything. Apparently there was a bilateral ear infection and the eardrum was visible. They put me on antibiotics, and eardrops that were also antibiotics (which burned like crazy most of the time used). Then after 10 days on antibiotics my energy was back, the burning throat gone , burning vagina gone ( I douched with yogurt two times), and the thumping sound in my head was mostly gone. Since I wasn't 100% back yet I tried putting onion drops in the ear, again it was painful, not all the time , but most of the time. After about 5 days of onion juice, and taking goldenseal and chapperal internally 1 capsule. My right ear started having a black discharge. It would be on the cottonball I have in my ear. My left ear still thumps but not as intense as before. I went to the doctor to find out what the black stuff coming out of my ear was, but the nurse-pratitioner(turns out she wasn't a doctor!), didn't know and had never seen anything like it. The canal was full of liquid and she could not see the right eardrum. She commented on the right ear having wax. Then she gave me 4 antibiotics to take , and Monday if not better, than she wants me to see an Eye, ear nose throat specialist. My hearing is better, but still not normal. My r ear feels extremely sensitive, which is why I think it may be perforated. I put Pascalite Calcium-bentonite (montmorillonite) clay poweder mixed with lobelia essence as a plaster behind my ears last night, and this morning when I gagged I could feel some releasing of the left ear down my throat. Also when the discharge began I stopped putting the onion juice in the ear. How do you heal a perforated eardrum ?
Guest guest
I wrote my symptoms to what may have possibly, key word possibly, be a possible' perforated eardrum. Upon exam today by Eye, ear, nose, throat specialist it was a fungus, aspergillus bad infestation, that created the otitis media situation. The doctor suctioned the fluid out of the ear, and had to dry out the ear to see what was going on. It was not painful for the most part, and soothing, and I could hear better afterwards. He suggested 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 alcohol (rubbing). The vinegar kills the fungus, and the alcohol dries it out. The medicines he recommended were not readily available so this is till they arrive. Apparently it needs a warm moist climate to proliferate, and my ear became lunch for a 'limited' time. Stress is probably what brought it on. What would the Ayurvedic treatment be for a fungus and otitis media condition in the ear?
