One important thing to keep in mind is that western distortion of

people-centered medicine has taken place since the burning of the

witches. these 'wise women' had the audacity to practice in public when

public was very much then the male domain. Catapault to the 19th Century

and one witnesses the distortion of herbal medicine, midwifery and

other 'unscientific' healing modalities. Ayurveda is the latest modality

to face this attack. In a word: monoply. This in no where more evident

than in the pharmacuetical/chemical realm of medicine and fertilizers.

Too often science is the illusionary catch-phrase for 'experimental

poisoning'. Science as practiced today is an attempt for the ' silver

bullet " . Unfortunately the silver bullet most often poisons and kills

everso slowly. Most of the time that is; a monstruous contrast would be

the destruction of habitat and soils.Witness: Bhopal! Although, I

disdain all organized religion, if there were to one that I would attach

myself to it would be the church of self-determination and healing. all

the best, Chamae

Ayurveda at this time is under attack by many forces that attempt to

degrade it - like in western countries the major force of degradation

is by the pharmacutical industry - the drug manufacturers - this is

where the biggest money is so naturally they have too much influence.
