Cure for Infertility

Infertility is a major health concern and all medical and

health systems attempt to treat it in different ways.

Infertility

should be viewed as a purely medical problem. It is caused by physical and

pschychological factors and nobody is to blame for it. Factors causing

infertility lie in both men and women and both should seek medical advice in

tackling

it.

Allopathy

lists the causes of infertility as Azoospermia, Impotence, Hormonal imbalance,

infertile uterus, polycystic ovaries, systemic diseases like diabetics mellitus,

hypercholestremia, and infective diseases like mumps in childhood.

Ayurveda

attributes conception to the proper assemblage of Ritu (fertile period), Bijam

(ovum, sperm), Kshetra (female reproductive system) & Ambu (nourishing

fluids).

The emphasis is on maintaining the health of the reproductive system, sperm and

ovum, properly functioning vayu, and a positive fame of mind.

Fertility is ensured only when all these factors are taken care of.

To increase fertility and strength of the reproductive system, ayurveda

prescribes a regimen that combines purification of the body by Panchakarma

procedures followed by the required diet and herbal medicines.

Purificatory procedures are known to be highly successful in treating

infertility. Also, the risk of the child being born with health defects reduces

considerably when the parents follow the regimen prescribed by Ayurveda for

conception.
