Guest guest
I have a history of chronic headache pain which has not been resolved by normal dr. suggestions. I have had some relief from chiropractic and starting yoga/breathing techniques. I plan to start taking butter but, an herbal supplement known to help migraines in many cases. Any comments/advice/suggestions in its use? Cindy

Guest guest
When you say you are going to take butter - but have butterbur in the subject line do we assume you mean butterbur in the message? The reason this herb is banned in most western countries is because of its brilliance. Dr Vogel cannot say enough in its praise Best, Jane ________________ I plan to start taking butter but, an herbal supplement known to help migraines in many cases. Guest guest
Yes, sorry that was a typo. I have been taking butterbur for a few weeks now to see if it will help my headaches. What do you know of it? __ On Behalf Of Jane MacRoss Thursday, February 07, 2008 2:47 PM When you say you are going to take butter - but have butterbur in the subject line do we assume you mean butterbur in the message? Guest guest
The pain is in my neck/base of skull and radiates out from there. I have found that I have Chiari Type I (Chiari Malformation I) which apparently affects the flow of spinal fluid around the base of the brain, basically there is not enough room in there. I would not consider surgery. I am trying some muscle relaxants to see if they might help. I also am going to try to do more physical therapy at the chiro - traction, moist/dry heat, massage etc. I am also interested in cranio sacrial massage. This is why I started yoga, to try to get help with the amount of flexibility in my nect and spine, to relax etc. I also have a straight rather than curved nect, and some normal arthritis and bone spurs etc. If anyone has any advise from a ayurvedic standpoint I would appreciate it. Diet-wise I am a vegan. I also need to learn which asanas are not good for my problem. I did a partners yoga class yesterday and was lying on the back of my partner in a downward facing slant, no pressure on my nect as my head was not touching the floow but I had to stop immediately as the pressure was high in my head, as if the spinal fluid could not flow? cindy ___________ On Behalf Of Vaidya Paul Thursday, February 07, 2008 2:04 PM Where's the pain? neck, top or front of the head? Guest guest
Dear Cindy Chiari malformation is the term used for the herniation of portion of brain which is serious type of disease. I think as there is an anatomical disturbance it should be corrected by surgery. It is risky trying some thing else where surgery is the best option. Guest guest
After defeating a tumor of brain (to dormancy) using panchgavya medicines and a special breathing technique (reported in archives) author wishes to differ here. Of course you may predict something using astrology, but author is hopeful that if there is the problem with flow or production of Ceribro Spinal Fluid, it can be corrected by patiently doing breathing technique. These are special techniques not coming under Patanjali, but from Tantra, mentioned in Iron rules of health series. ____________________ Chiari malformation is the term used for the herniation of portion of brain which is serious type of disease.
