Young woman born 24/07/75 - Hx epilepsy from 6 - 12 years " due to immature brain

cells " started menstruating @ 13 years - " hormone injections " later in life due

to very painful periods. Dr forgot she was on them and prolonged their use far

too long - his admission. Since ceasing their use the problems have started. This

is all the past history I gleaned from her anxious mother. Dr now recommends

leaving things for 6 months. Patient says she wont live that long.

Presenting problems:

? MS

One eye half closed

unsteady gait

faint & dizzy/vertigo

unable to work

MRI shows bleed into the brain

So this girl is now bleeding from her brain as well as her uterus now the

hormones have been ceased. She is virtually having a slow stroke.

My impulse is to supply trace elements & Vitamins to strengthen the blood

vessels - I would give:

Cell Salts: Calc Fluor

Calc Phos

Silicea

Ferr. Phos

This approach initially rather than using a homeopathic coagulant.

Vitamin C to increase capillary strength - up to 4G daily

Magnesium chelate combination rather than homeopathic Magnesium.

Diet: Eliminate wheat gluten (this alone has cleared endometriosis)

Increase cruciate vegetables (broccoli etc - same reason)

Increase water intake to 3L a day

Ensure that no artificial additives or undesirable chemicals,

sweeteners etc are being consumed

Raise the head of the bed 4 " for sleeping

Minimize increased pressure to the head, i.e. reduce constipation, coughing, no

heavy lifting, no inversion exercises (such as in yoga etc)

Mother states daughter will be resistant to advice.

Anyone want to add anything to the list?

Thanks

Jane

Dear Jane

Will you please provide birth details of the patient? [i.e birth time, place and

date]. I will try to analyse horoscope and advice medicine. What you have

described is a complicated case. I would definitely see what I could probably

do.

There are many questions I take it at this time you cannot answer, so

I will limit my comments to the problem of bleeding. One

exceptionally useful herb for bleeding is unprocessed Tienchi Ginseng

(Panax notoginseng). I have used this successfully from everything

from post-partum hemorrhage to retinal hemorrhaging. Other helpful

herbs used for uterine hemorrhaging include Yarrow (Achillea

millefolium), Shepherd's Purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris), Cotton root

(Gossypium sp), Cranesbill Geranium (Geranium maculatum) and Beth

root (Trillium erectum).

For menorrhagia I would typically I would use these in combination

with pelvic decongestants (e.g. White Dead Nettle [Lamium album],

Barberry [berberis sp] and Dandelion root [Taraxacum off.]), with

herbs that balance the menstrual cycle (in particular, those that are

progesterogenic, e.g. Chasteberry [Vitex agnus castus] and White

Peony [Paeonia alba]). For deficiency states with bleeding blood-

nourishing herbs are very important too, including Shatavari

(Asparagus racemosa) and Shu Di Huang (Rehmannia glutinosa).

Vitamin C probably has a weaker effect than using flavonoid-rich

combinations. Amalaki is a good example of a herb rich in both

flavonoids and (perhaps ascorbic acid), and is used for passive

hemorrhage (rakta pitta). Amalaki, rosehips and other flavonoid-rich

herbs like Hawthorn (Crataegus sp) would be better in my estimation

than just vitamin C. Anthocyanin-rich foods like blueberry, bilberry

and cranberry are also helpful to strengthen capillaries.

Thanks very much Todd - very useful info - unfortunately the girl, who I

have never met, is doing her own thing and going the way of specialist

allopathy - we shall see what occurs!

Best,

Jane
