seizure is symptom and epilepsy is disease.first off all i

advise for E.E.G. epilepsy described as APASMARA in ayurveda texts.

1 % population afeecting epilepsy in india.

their r lot of cause of epilepsy.

(1)although its a neurological disorder but pschological factor also

rule out.in pregnancy period mother face anxiety-stress-anger may

lead this disease (kali-kalah priya -charak sharir sthan).

 

(2)genetic factor-any history of epilepsy in parents.

(3) diet factor,acharyas described but i can not understand which

diet leads epilepsy.sometime mother taking wrong diet ,which affect

on child.adult epileptic patients also

(4) meningitis

(5) head injury

 

treatment

Standard Anti- epileptic drug not availabe in ayurveda.

u should advise VACHA CHURNA(ACORAS CALAMUS) 1 MG WITH 1GM HONEY

B.D.S under observation nearest ayurvedic doctor.

Thanks for the prompt reply. He has a genetic condition but not transferred from

family. It is called as Tuberous Sclerosis and it caused some tubers and sub

ependymal nodules to grow in the brain. This is triggering the infantile spasms.

He is taking a medication called Sabril for controlling the spasm. I met an

ayurveda doctor and he prescribed Tantu pashan, Braigen and Brahmy as the

treatment . Do you think this will work ?. He also said that you can take the

allopathic medicine along.

 

I read through all the causes and it was during her pregnancy that her dad

passed away and she was under lot of stress...Not sure whether this caused it ?
