Hello Friends,

I have finished my BAMS and am planning to start my own ayurvedic clinic cum

medicine shop in Bangalore. I was looking for information/help/guidance towards

the same. Specifically, I was looking for inputs towards:

1. Points to keep in mind while starting own clinic - effectively do's and

dont's

2. Instruments, establishments, furnitures, facilities, etc that will be

required to start with and eventually after a few month's time

3. Range and kind of medicines I should stock at my place

4. Contact details of the stockists/agents who can help me with initial

stocking of medicines and subsequent re-filling from time-to-time.

5. I am planning to keep free consultation for Thursdays for a few hours more

as part of my social

obligation. Any comments/inputs/suggestions?

6. How much should I charge as consultation fees?

7. How much profit / margin should I try to gain from the medicines?

8. Any other related points?

Thanks a lot in advance for your guidance and support.

With Regards,

Doesn't your BAMS course give you recommendations for all these issues? If

not then a short business course would be of great benefit to you or

working with an experienced Ayurvedic practitioners would show you the

ropes? I know there are many DVDs and CDs on this aspect of the medical

business.

Best wishes for your venture!

Jane
