Guest guest
Dear Matt What you are expecting are names of the medicines for your problem. I think it will not be right way to treat your self by simply knowing name of the medicines and using them. Because Psychiatric problems are very complex. You need to consult personally a Vaidya. I recall trying out a mixture of Ashwagandha, Shankhpushpi, Tagar, Saraswati, Brahmi, & Shilajit that seemed to replace my antipsychotic drug sometimes for few hours
Guest guest
Dear Dr. Jain and Kath: Since Omincept seems to be a derivative of Brahmi, why not just use Brahmi itself? Or, is it that you found Omnicept to be more effective and/or quicker than Brahmi? I checked up Omni Nature Inc's website where they mention that even Omnicept takes about 12 weeks to be fully effective. Dr. Jain, you mentioned regulation of cerebro-hypothalamic functions -- since I am not familiar with the term, does that include regulation of transmitters like Dopamine and Serotonin? Currently, all antipsychotics aim to " block " the receptors for all or certain Dopamine transmitters that are the source of psychosis -- though the problem is that they do not only block Dopamine receptors, but receptors of other transmitters as well like Serotonin, Noradrenaline, Acetylcholine, etc. which produces all kinds of side effects. From that perspective, " regulation " sounds better (if it regulates Dopamine and other chemicals) as it does not seem to just " block " certain/all chemicals. A related question is then why Brahmi is then not used to treat/control psychosis at large -- is it that pure-enough Brahmi (organic, bio-dynamic, etc.) is difficult to find and that the commercial or mass-produced herb does not have enough potency to be effective? Thanks, Matt _____________________________ Brahmi & Ashwaganga should be used with milk for 4-6 months. I have tried Omnicept (Omni Nature Inc. USA)in many clients with good results.
