Guest guest
Hi " sattvabotanicals " - Just noticed your post and thought I'd look at what is in the archives. Quite a bit of discussion you may want to look thru, though like with anything it could be confusing - some say no cure, others report good results. I believe Dr. Bhate's posts often contain very good explanations, effects, and bigger picture on things, such as this one: http://health.ayurveda/message/9351, which is not specific about just psoriasis but very good advice. In my limited experience I have been in some successful support of 2 clients over some months time. To get at root cause it is clear that long term toxin accumulations for certain mind-body types create conditions in liver, blood, and small intestinal lining are at issue. Being results of long term accumulations it is not a quick fix, and what I've seen many psoriasis clients have not good patience or lifestyle to stick with it without good followup and compassionate supportive care. (even showing in babies, we can look at the mother's history, exacerbated by feeding the baby many acidic foods such as eggs, citrus, tom, atoes, potatoes or sometimes environmental/etc influences). The herb manjista keeps coming up as central to Ayurvedic therapy for psoriasis and clenasing blood, liver and lymph, though alone is not likely to give lasting results; the formula needs to be designed by som, eone who can do a personal assessment for you. Also, dietary factors are very important, such as Dr. BHate recommends for reducing ama, avoiding nightshades (tomatoes etc), eggs, in general minimizing acid forming foods etc. Best; Ysha Postpartum AyurDoula _________________ Does anyone have recommendations for the treatment of psoriasis?
