Guest guest
Hi Raj, I have heard anecdotal evidence of a cure for Bipolar Disorder using Ayurvedic herbs and treatments combined with body-centered psychotherapy, osteopathic adjustments and energy healing work, though this has not been my experience. In my experience with my psychiatric patients as well as a close family member, there is no cure for Bipolar Disorder, only management of symptoms. I have seen a combination of long-term psychotherapy, psychopharmalogical treatment with any combination of allopathic medications like Lithium, Tegretol, Depakote, or Lamictal, and a balanced lifestyle with regular osteopathic adjustments to be helpful. However, one key problem with the disease is that those affected are often not willing to be compliant with these treatments, especially because in the manic or hypomanic states when their judgment is impaired, they often feel very good, as if they are invincible and completely " healed " and no longer in need of treatments or a balanced lifestyle.
