Guest guest
hello i have been a member for some time w/ this group - finally getting around to posting a topic for discussion have been learning about ayurveda for around 17 years - since first reading the book perfect health by deepak chopra... have since acquired and read many books but my interest continues to be on the 'surface' level (mainly herbal remedies etc)... without getting too deep into some of the more ancient techniques STUTTERING ??? never born w/ this problem nor was i ever in any way 'abnormal' or deficient whatsoever (growing up, in school, etc)... but at some point in my early 30's began to have a stuttering problem - which comes and goes and is exacerbated anytime i eat either dairy or SUGAR... both of which throw off kapha and cause excess mucous. i refuse to accept that this is a permanent problem as i seem to be able to mostly control it by avoiding any SUGAR/carbs and dairy. as sugar is in everything if i unknowingly eat something that has sugar in it then i always know it because i begin to experience problems w/ speech have started to take over the counter SINUS MEDICATION (non prescibed) for head congestion and my breathing also seems to be effected by this head congestion... the sinus medication does seem to help w/ the stuttering and the congestion. sleeping... adrenal glands ??? one day i was not feeling well and literally slept all day and into the night (pitta type and usually only sleep 5-7 hours max)... the next day i felt like a new person and my speech was UNBELIEVABLY better - like it was perfect!... this led me to question whether or not i might be experiencing some ADRENAL FATIGUE but dont know how that might be effecting my speech interested in anyones input/recommendations on this and specifically interested in drying herbs that could be either added to foods or teas specifically that might help dry out or balance kapha any herbs recom for stuttering/speech related problems ??? thanks and regards!
