Guest guest
Over the course of many years teaching yoga and as the wife of a pundit I have met many people who hear voices and who are looking for help through alternative means. I have found some of these people to be very bright. They can remember historical facts with photographic memory, they are very kind and talented but, they also have hallucinations. Many of them have shown some improvement by doing pujas - or japa or some very simple yogasanas. They can not engage in meditation or pranayama as this really disturbs them. We studied under a tantric teacher for some time and he helped many with exorcism. I am serious that his pujas did help some of the people. I am really interested in knowing more from a scriptural point of veiw about schizophrenia. What causes one to perceive things that are not there? How is it treated in ayurveda and why does it happen according to ancient texts?
