What still puzzles me is HOW we decide which day of the week it is, not the order - that I can can accept as per your explanation (thank you!). But what external evidences tell us that today is in fact Thursday? My thought was that it must be based on some natural cycle, but so far nobody has been able to specify this. It appears from my perspective that deciding that today is Thursday is a random, evolutionary process, as opposed to being something that can be computed definitively. As I said, this would seem to be of great importance in certain remedial measures where the days of the week are concerned. best to all...
