Are you talking about the herpes blisters that people can get on their lips?

If so, dabbing them with tea tree oil is a good method of treatment...

preferably the sooner the better.

There are only a few oils that you can really use on the skin without a

carrier oil (tea tree, lavender, etc.).

I would not recommend ingesting the oils as essential oils are meant to be

used on the body externally. Taking them internally can be toxic! If you

do accidentally ingest any essential oil, my advice would be to drink a lot

of water and seek medical advice.

I am so glad that I could help you...

Best wishes,

Anne-Louise.

There's a new medication out that you can buy at CVS... specifically

designed for cold sores. Just ask the pharmacist. It cuts the amount of

time that you have them at least in half, and if you use it when you first

feel the tingle, they will go away! I'm sorry I don't remember the name,

but it works very well. For me, stress brings out cold sores... once

they're out, I coat them with blistex.

Dear Christopher,

Of course I'd have a patient on the Total Body Cleanse as a basic program. Nobody escapes doing this baby LOL.

In addition, I'd have them on the Blood Detox (Used for Cancer and severe Diabetic Patients) tea and tincture; DMSO (up to 10 dropperfuls a day), MSM, Vit E.; CoQ10; Niacin; and from 27 to 45 cloves of garlic a day. I would extend the Total Body Cleanse to 7 weeks and during the first 4 weeks it would be juicing ONLY!!! The last 3 weeks would be raw organic foods only. Every night for the entire period, the patient would have to do a fomentation of Castor Oil over the Liver. The person would have to exercise hard (minimum of a half an hour) each day (rebounding would be great, and so would walking or running). Inversion therapy, and Hydrogen Peroxide therapy would also contribute to the above herbal efficacy.

This approach would also handle AIDS, Epstein Barr, and Cytomeglio Virus as well. PERMANENTLY!!!

Love,

Doc

PS. It would just about handle any physical problem LOL (Just about:o) But, no virus would stand a chance with this program. The above would also eliminate nanobacteria activity and heart disease, if a permanent diet and lifestyle change were implemented simultaneously.

The same program will work there as well.

Of course with warts, you can apply garlic and DMSO directly on the wart to remove them from your body.

Hi all,

Is there any cure for Herpes in Ayurveda. If yes, can

anyone please let me know. My mother's brother has got

this. I don't know the kind of infection. But it has

affected the 6th and 7th nerve on the face which has

caused facial palsy and diplopia of the eye too. If

anyone can give pointers regarding the causes for the

same it will help.

Thanks and Regards,

neem is the best

than vidanga, tulsi, glicyrhiza glabra, cat's claw, arthemisia abrotanum...

i'm not sure which dosha is involved in her case, i need more details; like if

it's connected to salty food or to exposure to wind, or eating sipcy or some

emotions...usually herpes manifestation is connected to the feeling of dirt (he

rejected some person, place or situation he thought it's dirty , and got also a

strong rejection to that aspect , that made a strong impresion in his mind-

vritti in citta).

maybe he has a reason for low imunity like stress, diabetes, pneumonia or smth

else

i could use more details for more precise recomandations

This was posted from another list - immediately below your query in my

in-box - so I send it to you with good wishes but cannot verify how good it

might be.:

Take;

about 300 grams of pure aloe vera

500 grams of raw honey

300ml of extract of olive leaf extract (most important!!!)

5 drops of essence of oregano

Put everything in the blender

Take 1 soup spoon 15 minutes before every meal.

The mix should last about 10 days.

If not cured repeat and double the doses so you have enough for 20 days.

This should do it.

Also works well on hepatitis and cancers.

It´s the olive extract that gets rid of the herpes but I tried to use

it alone and it got rid of the outbreak but not the disease. When I

combined it with the rest it completely disappeared!

Normally I can feel the " tingling " feeling that announces an outbreak

nearly daily, now its gone since 1 year.

Good luck!

Hi Silvia

You may also use pure tea tree oil both externally in applications few times a

day and internally 3-4 drops 3 times a day on a teaspoon of honey, internally

not longer than 2 weeks

I just remembered this, and thought I'd pass it along.....

Health Benefits

Indigenous people of tropical countries relied on natural plants for

their medicine. Young coconut juice is literally a well-supplied

medicine chest that comes in its own container and is used in folk

healing for a number of ailments: relieving fevers, headaches,

stomach upsets, diarrhea and dysentery. The juice is also given to

strengthen the heart and restore energy to the ill. Pregnant women in

the tropics eagerly drink large quantities of young coconut juice

because they believe it will give their babies strength and vitality

Water from a young coconut not only provided a refreshing drink in

the steamy equatorial countries, but in times of medical emergency it

was used as a substitute for glucose. During World War II young

coconut water became the emergency room glucose supply when there was

no other sterile glucose available. Within a clean self-contained

vessel, the coconut water is free of impurities and contains about

two tablespoons of sugar.

Jon J. Kabara, Ph.D, Professor Emeritus from Michigan State

University, writes, " Never before in the history of man is it so

important to emphasize the value of lauric oils. The medium-chain

fats in coconut oil are similar to fats in mother's milk and have

similar nutriceutical effects. "

Coconuts and their edible products, such as coconut oil and coconut

milk, have suffered from the repeated misinformation because of a

study conducted in the 1950's that used hydrogenated coconut oil.

Though coconut oil is very high in saturated fat, namely 87 percent

saturated, in its unrefined, virgin state, it is actually beneficial,

largely because of its high content of lauric acid, almost 50 percent.

Because lauric acid has potent anti-viral and anti-bacterial

properties, recent studies have considered coconut oil as a possible

method of lowering viral levels in HIV-AIDS patients. The lauric acid

may also be effective in fighting yeast, fungi, and other viruses

such as measles, Herpes simplex, influenza and cytomegalovirus.

Because the short-and medium-chain fatty acids of extra virgin

coconut oil and coconut milk are easily and quickly assimilated by

the body, they are not stored as fat in the body like the long chain

triglycerides of animal products. Studies have shown that populations

in Polynesia and Sri Lanka, where coconuts are a diet staple, do not

suffer from high serum cholesterol or high rates of heart disease.

Extra virgin coconut oil used in a study conducted in the Yucatan

showed that those who used the coconut oil on a daily basis had a

higher metabolic rate. Though they regularly consumed considerable

quantities of the saturated fat, the participants retained a lean

body mass. Another facet of the Yucatan study noted that the women

participants did not suffer the typical symptoms of menopause.

Hi Everyone,

I have tried sandalwood on patients and have had mixed results.

Since its difficult to get pure sandalwood powder here in some cases

I will mix sandalwood EO (essential oil, 10% v/v) with zinc oxide and

apply this as a paste. The key to chronic herpes is prevention,

prevention, prevention. I used to get herpes rather frequently when

I was a vegetarian, but now rarely get them at all - I suspect,

because I have corrected to the lysine to arginine ratios. This of

course is a well known naturopathic intervention.

With regard to treatment I have found it wise to differentiate their

symptoms from vata, pitta and kapha, even though as an entity herpes

is a kapha-pitta condition. Vata type herpes are fragile, dry

lesions that are exacerbated by dryness and cold. Kapha lesions are

mild, pink and wet, and are usually caused from excess mucus in the

system. Pitta lesions are big, red, and swollen, with a blisters,

and are exacerbated by heat and sun exposure. For vata-type lesions

I find that soothing, emollient remedies promote the quickest

healing, including herbs such as calendula, comfrey, plantain and st.

john's wort, in a based of lanolin and almond oil - usually i will

also add in some kind of EO like lemon balm or lavender. In

contrast, for the swollen and red pitta-type lesions I use sphatika

(alum) and pitta-reducing herbs such as goldenseal or oregon grape

(think rasanjana), along with blood-purifying remedies such as neem,

goldenseal, and echinacea, or formulas such as kaisora guggulu.

Dear Todd Caldecott

We have seen fresh Sandal wood paste to be more effective than

sandal wood powder or sandal wood oil.

I whole heartedly agree with you that prevention is the Mantra.

Despite all effective herbal preparations, diet and lifestyle

modifications - stress spoils the game. Stress lowers the body

immunity and causes outbreaks. Outbreaks lead to stress. Thus herpes

patient is caught in a vicious circle. Lot of moral support is

needed to break this circle

Anybody who can enlighten us with stress busting yoga postures and

meditation methods? (specially for herpes)

what are your thoughts on the sustainability of sandalwood? last

there are also several consumer groups trying to get people to stop

HI Patti, All;

My experience with coconut oil may be interesting; taking 1-2 Tbs

daily for possibly 2 months, then out of town without for 1 month

there was no access but some of the stress-increasing factors that

precipitate herpes outbreaks. It was a severe one, though previous

the oil seemed to be very helpful. Feeling is that since the virus

hides in deeper tissues, the oil/lauric acid is very helpful to get at

it, but by same token it takes some time to chase it out, and the

process is in reverse order, chasing it out back to the surface dhatus.

Access to an antiviral bhasma along with 3 months use of neem capsule

2X daily, and some coconut seems even more effective, taking care to

balance for other needs including the vata cold of the neem and

coconut. deep clearing. Have had excellent results with St. John's

wort oil, large doses over time but got tired of ingesting so many

capsules (excellent quality from Flora brand, sun infused in olive oil

1,000 hours gives some very special properties nourishing and healing

to the nervous system; apparently these viruses, somewhat like

shingles, will hang around/aggravating the nerves too. If lifestyle

gets distruped over period of time, it can come back, the blueprints

and residue being there.

Topically, I find at onset, frequent use of organic lavender less

drying and more soothing or ravensara oil better than tea trea. As

the sore dries, then sandalwood if available or other unctuous options

(such as geranium)are much more helpful, not just for their unction.

Warm Regards;

Ysha

Dear Todd Caldecott

It is the freshly preparaed sandal wood paste. In India sandal wood

is rubbed on a flat grinding stone adding few drops of water to

prepare sandal wood paste or tika or tilak for god. This freshly

ground paste has tremandous effect on all herpes outbreaks.

I know there are lot of restrictions for sandal wood and it is very

costly too.
