Guest guest
my sister had cancer abt 8-9 yrs ago... she had povarian cancer and she also did urine therapy, but after all the cycles of chemotherapy were over... u cant do ayurved/naturopathy n chemotherapy together... wont help the patient... but if not urine therapy, atleast ask this patient/friend of urs in spain to drink wheat grass juice every single day, even when he is taking chemotherapy... this will not only give him strength but will also keep his haemoglobin level high, which while chemo is taken comes down drasitcally... he needs to take, (if he can) a full glass, which generally they cant, so half a glass is a must, at one go, only once a day, freshly taken... u need to crush it in a mixer, wiht a little water, make the patient have it without straining the fibre at all.. the main thing is the fibre that needs to get into his system... this will surely help him a lot... he may at times experience diahorrea, or frequent urination, let it happen, and ask him to contune taking it even after all this happens... its just that this way toxins r coming out of his body faster n is helpful for him... so ask him not to worry abt it... also ask him, since he is a hare krishna follower, n a veggie, to eat only home cooked food till his whole treatment is over... ask him to have dudhi ( bottle gourd) a lot, that will also give him a lot of strength... another way for him to keep his strength up and haemoglobin level up is top eat 1 banana (chopped) with 2 tablespoons of pure honey, alongwith 1/4th teaspoon of amla powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of elaichi(cardamom) powder, everyday, anytime... n most of all A LOT OF WATER... so that the toxins n medicines that he takes during his chemo, will reduce the side effects and help him overall... with a lot of water intake, again he MAY experience frequent urination, n at times diahorrea... not to worry at all... but continue with all these things n his chemo will go smoothly... if u have any more queries, do get back to me, i will surely answer all ur queries... with regards priyangi [Moderator: Thanks. such " direct patient reports " boost the hopes of cancer patients]
Guest guest
Dear moderator, Mrs. Priyang and Sirish Bhate: Thanks for your extensive and valuable input, it is very much appreciated. I'm not the patient , He is a very good friend of mine who is suffering from Cancer , we worked together for many years, we did a lot to spread vedic sciences in the west, we were brahmacharies teachers of Bhagavad Gita, Puranas and Basic principles of Ayur Veda, Jyotish, etc, in more than 15 countries . ( please read below) To make a brief description of ourselves . We consider to be eternal students of the vedas , we have great respect to Guru, sadhus and shastras, I personally own this merit to my Gurudev . I received the Hari Nam initiation and Dwija from A.C. Bhaktivedanta Sw. (founder of many Goshalas and Ashrams), I am always grateful for his guidance and wisdom (while he was alive). I had the great fortune to begin my first steps on ayurveda from my Guruji' s Kaviraj in Calcutta on 1975, his was famous for the precision in Nadi Pariksha's readings ! Through all may life I experience that by helping people in times of need I am rewarded, so this is another opportunity for me , and that's why I do what I do and I will no go further for now. Coming back to our main subject I obtained the following data from my friend's symptoms and the intake of herbal supplements. - feeling most uncomfortable in the evenings and having little or not sleep - taken Reichi 6 times x 500mg each. ( chines practitioner recommends the intake from 1.5 to 9gms a day. -Amalaki is hardly available, as most of ayur vedic churnas, instead he takes rosehips - drinking Sea Plasma. -Silybum marianum (thistle), a local liver regenerator and hepatic protector -Regarding chemotherapy , he was exposed before (few years back), with no haemoglobin deficiency, probably the intake of this natural remedies? QUESTIONs: How long will be advisable to take self-urine therapy after chemo-therapy? If not available wheat grass juice, can be use cilantro or any other substitute, I also understand that all leaf veggies and drinks can increase vata further, on Manda Agni ? Can be added fennel ? Thanks again for your wise and companionate input. regards chai

Start self urine therapy after taking alkalizing diet for few days after chemotherapy, so that toxins in the urine will be mostly absent. Green diet should be taken with a " listen to the body " approach. simply start and gradually increase as body accepts. maximum 2 bowel motions a day would be a guideline. Like many others who go for this therapy, you may like to continue it for life time. > > If not available wheat grass juice, can be use cilantro or any other > substitute, I also understand that all leaf veggies and drinks can > increase vata further, on Manda Agni ? > Can be added fennel ? Cilantro is also a great detoxifier, being used for autistic children too. 5 ml fresh juice thrice a day to start with, go on increasing gradually. Fennel also can be added. Bottle gourd as well as pumpkin juice also have been used, since they are powerful pitta pacifiers. Gaushalas have made special medicines from pumpkin to give for Jaundice cases. Tumors keep pitta boosting, as balancing bile from liver is reduced. Their toxins should be eliminated as fast as they are generated. For liver as well as colon cancer, Anuvasan basti (medicated oil enema) have been used by this author for this toxin elimination problem. This is where green juices give a significant contribution, minimizing visit to a vaidya for basti. Statements such as Raw food increases Vata or brings in Mandagni are to be left to the supervising Vaidya to decide. Some raw salads give us essential enzymes making digestion simpler. Ginger with a pinch of saindhav salt and lemon juice for instance. We make preserves of fresh green (black) peeper, chillies, ginger and turmeric with lemon and salt as preservatives. These in little quantity are appetisers rather than mandagni promoters. Who should take, let it be decided by Vaidya. In the same way salads, with a dressing of healthy oil (e.g. olive oil extra virgin quality) give us a fiber- broom essential to keep the toxins of tumors out of the system. AS several members point out, westerners get confused due to application of such general rules. Ayurveda has many exceptions, where sometimes incompatible diet acts as a medicine! Insight, experience, deeper thinking gives nectar, unavailable to superficial dabbler. And as you pointed out, the meditation, humble respect to all those selfless healers (which should include animlas like cows, trees etc) brings in rich rewards. As long as one does not go to extremes, preserves balance and keeps listening to the body, there is no problem. Author has given tests which can be made by non-practitioners too, to decide which food, raw food, oil, is suitable to each individual. the tests mentioned in Post# 3055, 4511, readily accessible by clicking on: http://health.ayurveda/message/3055 http://health.ayurveda/message/4511 will reveal the effect of the food, drink on the body. We should not go by instant relaxation felt in mind, but also look at whether body is fighting to remove the toxins from the food/drink/smoke. These have been devised by people with deep insight, and especially used on cancer patients. In the protocol of green juices, research on the net using keywords " Budwig protocol " , " Gerson " etc. Cold pressed Flaxseed oil or chewing seeds with protective dairy product like ghee, butter, cheese has given miraculous uplift to the cancer patients health. But in this area author's experience is limited to countable patients only. Bruce Guilmette, PhD has written a lot about diet, himself being a surviver of renal carcinoma.
