Guest guest
Namaste Dr.Bhate, I've been following your advice ( Soaked raisins in the morning, Sweetened cardamom milk before bed, walking on wet grass in the morning , sleeping in a dark room and Sheetali pranayam whenever possible) Things have been improving. 1) Headaches and seeing spots are slightly reduced. I still am very sensitive to bright lights and cannot withstand loud music/noise. 2) Hair loss is not as severe as it use to be ( Also I've started to apply coconut oil before going to bed and washing it with herbal shampoo in the morning) 3)The thickness of small red boils on my right cheek are are reduced. However its still itchy and gets worse after shaving. You had suggested liver detox but ruled it out because I don't have a Vaidya in my area. Do you recommend Himalaya herbal's over-the-counter liver detox medicine? I get nausea when I drink Heem of coriander/fennel/cumin . Is there any other substitute for this ? On a very low scale, liver detoxification is already in action. Author does not recommend liver detox without supervision. BUt if you wish, you can take Bhringaraj herb as recommended in earlier postings by this author: http://health.ayurveda/message/3769 may help you to a good extent. > > I get nausea when I drink Heem of coriander/fennel/cumin . To reduce the nausea, you may add a tsp of honey to heem and check. IF nausea disappears, continue the heem only. YOu may combaine the heem with bhringaraj, but check that you are not over enthusiastic. cough, cold, excess mucous, heaviness in the body, lethargy are to be watched, if they show up, reduce the herbs, heem etc for a few days. Often this is nothing but herxheimer reaction or more commonly known term being healing crisis. This is true for all healing science. Body starts cleansing itself. What is eliminated by body tells you whether body is taking care of infections, microbes, viruses. Coriander is a powerful detoxifier by itself, and its fresh juice has helped few autistic children as well. Cumin is also ama burner. hence expect some healing crisis soon. if that heppens, it is a good sign. reduce the dosage in that case. Resume again as soon as crisis softens. Appearance of nausea suggests that there is some neurotoxin in your system, requiring elimination. No need to worry, heem will remove it, albeit slowly.
