Dr. Muzumdar had asked for a summary of what this individual had

already tried in treatment of his Depuytrens Contracture condition.

 

He has sent this summary. Nothing has worked well so far although the

condition is fairly stable and not progressing rapidly.

 

He has done some treatments with allopathic medicine but did not

include them in this summary.

 

The condition is a type of autoimmune disease where Pitta in Mamsa

Dhatu in the hands causes scar tissue to form in the muscles. the

hand then contracts making movement difficult.

Ayurveda:

Ayurvedic herbs, currently taking:

Gandhak Rasyan: 2 tablets, 3 times daily just before meals

Kanchanar Guggulu: 1 tablet, 3 times daily just before meals

Yograj Guggulu: 1 tablet, 3 times daily just before meals

Shodan Vati: 5 tablets before dinner

Smriti Varthak: 1/2 tsp. Smriti + 1 tsp. brahmi ghrit upon rising

 

Ayurvedic herbs, previously taken:

Dashmularishta + Jrikadyarishta: 25 ml after lunch and dinner

Dhanvantharam Aavarthi 101: 10 drops after lunch and dinner

Maharasmati Ghan Vati: 2 tablets after lunch and dinner

Treatments of Apanaa/oil during Panchakarma treatments, with

additional steam and herbalized oil treatments (23 days in 2005, 7

days in 2006, and 23 days in 2007).

warm herbalized oil application on hand (75% karppasasthyadi + 25% karpoorathi)

 

now taking, specifically for Duputrens: Wobenzym (3 caps twice daily

between meals)

Castor oil packs at night occasionally
