For information of all my online good friends and

colleagues, the first three paras of the following

letter of mine have already been published prominently

in the Times of India dated 5th September 2007.

Those of you who agree and feel strongly about this

subject may please write similar letters to the press

expressing your own feelings in your own words as best

as you can.

After all, this is a subject for the good health of

all fellow human beings.

Dear Editor,

Sir,

Only Satan can call for yoga ban!

This refers to the news flashed across the print

media world wide as well as on the electronic media,

that two local churches in UK have banned a group from

conducting yoga classes because as their priests feel

(not the churches) that the ancient practice is

" un-Christian " .

Why ban yoga classes? Only Satans alone can do so,

yoga being a threat to his assumed authority. Yoga is

helping millions stay physically and mentally healthy

in the current modern lifestyle. It appears that

competitive religions have more of politics than

spiritualism.

For those who want a ban on yoga, I can only say:

Ignorance is bliss indeed! " . God, forgive them, as

they know not what they do.

God helps those who help themselves. If they harm

themselves instead of helping themselves, how can God

come to their rescue?

Human beings sometimes behave in a manner worse than

animals, birds and other species that live by the rule

God and Mother Nature made it for them. But human

beings want to make rules seemingly favouring

themselves that might go against Nature, ultimately to

harm themselves.

All religions must preach the truth without coloring

it. Then only one can be spiritual to be saved by God.

It cannot be otherwise, howsoever one may argue. Let

us do our best and leave the rest to God.

About Yoga having affinity to the Hindu religion, I

can only say that the Hindus started following yoga as

they found it useful for improving physical, mental

and spiritual health. Yoga is equally useful to

followers of all other religions and faiths as they

want their followers also to improve their physical,

mental and spiritual health. A priest who denies such

healthful benefits to his followers, cannot be a

priest in the real sense.

Take the case of Gym-goers. They can also practice

various exercises chanting their own prayers to have a

better and more profound influence mentally and

spiritually. Muslims can do pranayam chanting " Allah

ho Akbar " or the like. So too, Chritians can do it

chanting " halleluiah " or anything else that suits

them.

Then, where is the conflict?

Dear shri Acharyaji,

You have fallen victim to the Electronic media TRP ratings and also

people who have an agenda to creat DIVISION amongst various faiths in

India.

A yogoa teacher who is a christian herself engages the church

premises for her class and two churches in England have stopped it.

Now do you know the local church politics in that church especially

the yoga teacher and the parish preist?

Even if the two preists have belief in that way about Yoga, does it

have sanction of Church of England? or Catholic church?Even if church

of england does follow this thoery about yoga, how does it affect

INDIA or INDIAN CHRISTIANS?

Recently when the senate of USA asked Hindu preists to perform a

blessing ceremony along with others, TWO US citizens shouted slogans

against it who belong to a fundemntal christian ideology. It was

highlighted in India as if the whole US nation is doing this? The

biggest temple in whole of American continent(bigger than any temple

in North India) was recently consegrated in LA.Did anyone publish

this news.

THERE IS SYSTEMATIC CAMPAIGN BY AMERICANS/UK CITIZENS OF INDIAN

ORIGIN WHO ARE HINDUS, to creat a sort of devide in India. They feel

jealous of Indian democracy and the freedom it gives its

minorities. The Indian Muslims have more freedom than say a Muslim in

Islamic country like Saudi arabia,Algeria,Turkey, egypt etc(members of

OIC).In france a muslim cannot wear head scarf and we know what

happenned to some software professionals in Germany. Our democracy

has flourished inspite of various FAULT LINES like

religion, language, caste, state etc etc.We have our problems, we face

through our parliament. I myself an Indian christian do Pranamya

which relieves my heart and various other problems.Do i have to shout?

LET US NOT IMPORT PROBLEMS OF AMERICANS AND UK CITIZENS OF INDIAN

ORIGIN WHO FACE THESE PROBLEMS IN THEIR COUNTRY INTO BHARATH.

with kind regards.
