Dear Vaidyas

I am looking for help for my dog. Is anyone out there who works with

animals and can help me?

I have an eight yr old white female dog who had skin infection off and

on all her life. For past two yrs things were actually not two bad but

last week suddenly her skin flared up. She had lots of red bumps on

her skin that opens in couple of days and start oozing. Her whole body

is covered in sores and she scratches constantly.

As usual vet gave her antibiotic Cephloxin and anti histamin. But as

this time its really bad we took her to a skin specialist and she too

prescribed her 750mg of cephalaxin twicwe a day and antihistamin. She

has been on antibiotics most of her life sometimes for months.

Is there any holistic treatment for this?

Thank you for the help from both of us.

what do you feed her? being (mostly) carnivores, dogs have a poor

tolerance to grains and cereals, which are the primary component of

most pet foods

switch her to a BARF (biologically-appropriate raw food) diet and see

if this helps

just search under google and find the best pages

i have seen many dogs get well from such a simple intervention,

usually within 2-3 months

also, pay attention to oral hygiene - in the wild, canines don't

naturally accumulate dental tartar, but modern dog food promotes it

this can be the source of a chronic infection, complexed with what is

essentially an allergic response

eating a barf diet, including chewing on bones, helps to wear away

tartar and promote oral health
