Guest guest
I have a friend who has colon cancer in the rectum and it recently spread to the female organs. I personally think that it was originally caused by her emotions since she is " anal retentive " . Right now she has trouble sitting down and has some pus coming from the vagina and loose motions. She wants to do some natural therapies and cannot have anymore chemo or radiation. Does anyone have recommendations? GB
Guest guest
Colon cancer, when located in rectum or even near joint of rectum and sigmoidal colon, grows very rapidly and has tendency to metastasize to prostate/bladder/ovaries. Surgery, chemo or radiation in this area is more damaging rather than helpful, as colon is one of the major sites where prana resides, at equal status with uterus. That is the reason many women breath their last during hysterectomy. In this case, author suspects that metastasis to bladder/vagina has already occured, as suggested by sticky pus and loose motions. If ayurvedic practitioner is nearby, uttar basti of flaxseed/olive oil (of extra virgin quality) may give some relief. Panchgavya ghrutam in a case of breast cancer was found to be useful to relieve pain, itching and reducing sticky+foul smelling discharge. However, availability of ghrutam is doubtful in U.S.A. Unless patient is fully treated by ayurvedist, the treatments like uttar basti is too radical for allopathy hospitalized cancer patient! ayurveda , " Guru K " <greatyoga wrote: > > I have a friend who has colon cancer in the rectum and it recently > spread to the female organs. Guest guest
If you ask her to do ATBSNR exercises that are to be done lying down comfortably in bed and in a relaxed mood as that in 'shavasana' pose, I do hope, she can help herself. But she must do ATBSNR for pleasure and happiness and not as an exercise. All details are at www.atbsnr.com and for any questions or queries, you are welcome to email me for quick clarifications and removal of any other doubts. But she must eat plenty of fruits and vegetables mostly raw or semi-cooked with no additives or condiments while following the do's and dont's as mentioned there at the website. Of course, there is no harm taking simple Ayurvedic medicines if recommended by online specialists. S. M. Guest guest
In continuation of my earlier message, I would like to add that if she could do simple pranayams mainly kapaalbhaati and anulom-vilom starting with five minutes each and increasing the duration upto half an hour each of the two pranayams both early morning and evening at least five hours after lunch, she can increase the supply of oxygenated blood to all the cells of the body helping to arrest growth of or even kill cancer cells as has been well documented in the book " Yog in synergy with medical science " by Acharya Balkrishan of Patanjali Yogapeeth, Haridwar, India email:divyayoga. No doubt, it might take a few months to see the results but if cancer is a terminal disease, any sacrifice is worthwhile. S. M. Guest guest
Dr. Bhate and S. M. Acharya Thank you both for your advice. I will give this information to my friend. Right now she can just lay down and not sit up because of the pressure of the tumor on her anus, female organs and bladder. She said she has to go to the bathroom every 15 - 60 minutes because of the pressure. She has an operation scheduled for early next week to relieve the pressure. I will give this information to her and she can make the decision. I do not know if we can get these medicines in the U.S. but I will check. Guest guest
I checked with my friend and gave her the information Dr. Bhate gave and the exercises that SM Acharya gave. She said she will try the exercises. Dr. Bhate gave her uttar basti but she said she cannot get anything in her vagina because of a tumor. I do not think we can get any panch gavya medicines in the US. Do you have any other suggestions? I was thinking of her going on a diet of mostly a beet carrot casserole. It is steamed beets and carrots with onion, garlic and ginger on top or mixed in and baked usually with cheese on top but I think it would be best to leave off the cheese. She is not in the hospital but laying in bed at home. GB
