Guest guest
Recieved some emails requesting cadaver viewing to be added. Just added a day of seeing cadavers to the program. The instructure has four years experience and has been around acupuncturist. She won't let you put needles in to see the depth of a pneumothoraxa as one requested but will pull the layers away and let you see the underlying structures. So please advise me > if any effective treatment in Ayurveda.( As per the advise of an > Allopathy-Ayurveda doctor taken the medicine 'Manasavitra Vadakam' for > 2 months but could not see any change). There are a number of aspects in enuresis. Is it primary, i.e. has the child never developed full bladder control? Primary nocturnal enuresis affects 3% of 12-year-old children. 98% of primary enuresis resolves with maturation. Organic causes, such as urinary tract infections, congenital anomalies, neuropathies, diabetes or pelvic mass, need to be ruled out by examination and tests. This is especially so if there are daytime urinary problems or bowel problems as well. Secondary enuresis, i.e. after full bladder control has been previously established, is very often due to psychological stress. If organic causes as mentioned above are ruled out, I would suggest two things: 1. Teach the child Sahajoli Mudra or the urogenital lock. Have her sit in a comfortable position. As she breathes in, she tries to contract the urethra and holds the contraction for a moment. Then she releases with the out breath. As she gets used to it, she can hold the contractions for longer, and do more rounds. She can practise identifying the correct muscle by consciously stopping the flow during urination. This mudra, done daily, will help her become more sensitive to the pelvic area and the full bladder signals, gain much stronger bladder control, and help clear any negative or repressed emotions concerning the area. 2. Have a winding-down routine at least 1 hour before sleep; with no TV, computers, reading, or emotional discussions. The child can do some gentle yoga stretches, especially forward bends, followed by gentle deep breathing such as Alternate Nostril Breath. This will help her to relax and have a deeper sleep. She could have a half glass of warm milk with some ginger, cardamom and nutmeg just before bed. If she has a deeper sleep, she might miss urine calls initially; but she will probably become more sensitive to full bladder signals, especially if she practises sahajoli mudra. I hope this will be helpful for your daughter. Best regards, Gerald Lopez Auckland, New Zealand.
Guest guest
Dear aborizwan Though there are several causes that may cause enuresis, it is difficult for an average practitioner from any branch of medicine to pin-point the cause. Having posted the message 2 years back and after running from pillar to post in getting treatment from allopathy to homeopathy, it seems problem is still persisting. Nowhere you have clarified whether the problem is from birth or has occured in last few years only. Having not mentioned, author assumes that problem is developed in last 2-3 years only. Having been advised to look into stress aspect, author is sure that you would have taken care of stress too. That leaves just 1-2 possibilities. Bedwetting in girls of this age may be due to immature nervous system due to which the she is not able to feel that her bladder is full. The possibility of small bladder due to which the bladder is not able to hold all the urine produced during the night must have been looked into already, having been to allopaths too. medical conditions like UTI, constipation, diabetes, epilepsy can also be eliminated after this 2 yr long treatment. That leaves only above possibility of changing hormones as a result of puberty, whose onset is perhaps disturbed by environmental factors such as xenoestrogens, and that causes inadequate antidiuretic hormone, ADH, termed vasopressin. This hormone reduces the amount of urine produced by the kidneys. Unfortunately, the synthetic equivalent of vassopresin (desmopressin) helps only as long as it is being taken and has side effects too. Aurvedic approach involves using medhya herbs which tackle nervous system directly. while most appropriate combination needs to be worked out by consulting nearby practitioner only, some ready formulation can also be looked into. Please look at research papers 28, 31, 38 at the link: http://www.himalayahealthcare.com/researchpaper/mentat.htm The above research summarises success of " Mentat " , a proprietary drug by Himalayan health care, India, on children with enuresis problem. Author has no experience with Mentat but he has successfully used another pharmacy's formulation " Amivita Forte " , This has contents profile similar to Himalaya's " Mentat " but there are slight differences. There are some simple remedies too, which you may try. - Give less water to her after afternoon. - Give 2 pills of Agnitundiwati thrice a day before meals or 20 ml Of " Loghrasav " twice a day, after meals. - At bedtime give her black sesame seeds crushed and mixed with jaggery, rolled into " laddu " form, to slowly suck till she feels drowsy. ______________________ > My 12 years old daughter has Enuresis problem. last 2 yr Treatment had with Allopathy and Homaeopathy medicines but no result. Guest guest
Dear Aborizwan May God help you. It is not a major problem to treat, but you have to give me details of her problem. I mean about her diet, her motion habits and the duration of this problem. Further more I need to know either this happens only during sleep or she urinates frequently or without her decision. I am sure that our Unani medicines will prove their efficacy for the same. Regards Hakim UBAID ------- > My 12 years old daughter has Enuresis problem for last 2 years. Guest guest
I came across an article suggesting a cure for bed wetting. May be of interest to you. This was sent by one Mr.Rajinder 91-11- 45500080, 9811903792. Most doctors consider a bedwetting child to be any girl older than age four and any boy over age five who wet the bed. About 10% of all six year olds and about 3% of all 14 year olds wet the bed. In a very small number of cases, bedwetting can continue into adulthood. In winters we urinate more though the water intake is much less as compared to summers. Same way the children wet the beds more in winters. In winters the humidity levels are very less. The air is dry. Winters suck the moisture from the skins as well. Internally as well the organs hold much less water. Children who tend to drink less water will find it difficult to hold urine in their bladders. The solution lies in drinking more water during the day. Make the child drink at least 1 glass of water 1 hour before going to bed and another just before going to bed. During the day also the child should be asked to drink water 6-8 times even during the winters. Those parents who implement this program for 7 days will be shocked to see that the child has stopped wetting bed completely. I request feedback from the parents who do not get the results as indicated above. For those who get the above results need not send their feedback since we know this should work in more than 90% of the cases. Do not forget to tell your family doctor the results of the above experiment. ayurveda , " aborizwan3 " <aborizwan3 wrote: > My 12 years old daughter has Enuresis problem. Guest guest
aborizwan My son wet the bed until about a year ago. He slep very deep. We used a combination of things. EFT was one thing we found to be effective. You may find a practitioner near you. Guest guest
I have found that if one uses the slightest pressure at the juncture of the upper pelvic bones -like one gram pressure { the weight of a U.S. nickle } it triggers the bladder to relax and open. I have helped a few kids at similiar age to end this embarrassing habit. Another thing that helps is to breathe deeply and as one exhales to apply the pressure at this point. There is a little indentation as the bones meet. Of great help psychologically, is to ask your child to find a fear that may be difficult for her to talk about. Anything could be making her fear letting go of something ,or conversely, moving towards. I suggest that the accupressure be tried initially for a couple of weeks as this along may resolve this habit. One more thing, yet very, very helpful is to have the child practice stopping her urine 3 or 4 times during each bathroom trip - when she goes pee. Stop, start, stop start as many times as is easy. At the finish of each session, ask her to leave/keep open the bladder muscle just 2 to 4 seconds as to fully empty the bladder at night, but more importantly to get conscious control of her bladder muscle. It works well but takes a few days/weeks, maybe months. Best of luck, Chamae _____ <snip> If organic causes as mentioned above are ruled out, I would suggest two things: 1.
