Guest guest
My advice is to see a good reflexologist. It sounds like to me you have accumulated uric acid crystals in the bottom of your feet. This happens to me occasionally, I rub the points that are sore for about five minutes or so until the soreness goes away. This may take more than one session since it has been going on awhile. Mine is usually in the spinal area. Pads of the feet, depending on your definiation of pads, I would associate with your lungs, chest, solar plexus areas...in other words, your upper torso. Are you having problems there? My guess is yes. Guest guest
Hi Mindy, you might try castor oil packs. Me and mine have had success using them on bone and muscle aches, dislocated shoulder, etc. Here are directions if you need them. You can also do more research on the net, there's plenty to find on the packs even in this forum... Directions for making a castor oil pack: You need: One piece of flannel or cotton cloth, folded 3 or 4 ways into the approximate size of the area you will be placing it on. Castor oil Heating pad or hot water bottle (possibly) Towel Plastic, as in plastic food wrap or plastic garbage bag etc. Directions: Take your folded flannel or cotton cloth and soak it in the castor oil until the entire cloth is soaked. Wrap the cloth around the area needing attention, the whole abdomen, the aching leg, whatever you are treating. Wrap the piece of plastic (I use plastic food wrap here) over the soaked cloth to help keep the oil from leaking onto linens or furniture. If heat is not contra-indicated in your injury/condition (as in pregnancy - don't use heat) then put the heating pad or hot water bottle over the plastic. Lastly, wrap a towel around the whole setup and pin it in place if you like. If you are using heat, remain like this for between 1 and 1.5 hours. If no heat, you can keep the pack on all night while sleeping. of course that doesn't take care of the 'why'... best to you thessa herbal remedies, Aromaconnection@a... wrote: > Hi All, > My 9 year old has been complaining of pain in her left foot for a couple of > weeks now. Guest guest
It is indeed possible that poor shoes have caused this pain. It's probably not originating in the foot. These types of pains commonly originate in the spinal column. Walking a lot in poorly fitting shoes can cause the spinal column to get misaligned, and it then pinches nerves which go back down to the legs and feet. Most chiropractors are very familiar with this sort of thing, and the good news is that children usually improve rapidly after just one or two adjustments. If a chiropractor recommends a lot more adjustments after two sessions, be suspicious, because most children are very flexible and rarely need a lot of chiropractic treatment. Many chiropractors like to take initial x-rays, but over the past couple of decades increasing numbers of patients do not want them. Therefore, most chiropractors have learned to work without them when necessary. Through kinesiology and other new techniques, it it possible to even diagnose small broken bones in feet and hands without x-rays. As for shoes, cheap ones may more frequently cause problems, but even expensive ones can be rough. Unfortunately the initial trying out isn't a good indicator, so we always take our chances. There's always that old rule of thumb, which does help -- make sure shoes are tried on only late in the day. That's because feet tend to expand a bit as each day goes on, so your chances of getting a more accurate fit are better at that time, especially after good physical activity. You might already know this, but i'm surprised at the number of people who don't. Guest guest
Thanks for the info! I am definitely going to take her to the Chiropractor, I don't know why I didn't think of that - it seems obvious now!!! Thanks again, Mindy Kittay

Guest guest
You need to do certain foot exercises for this, especially when you first rise in the morning. Also, you need arch/heel support inserts for your shoes, preferably a custom-made pair if you can afford it. Guest guest
Have you tried using a soda bottle that has water frozen into it. Roll you heel back and forth on it. That sometimes gives relief. I al get relief using the hot paraffin baths. Pam - Linda Meeh Monday, August 02, 2004 12:06 AM foot pain Does anyone have recommendations to allieve the pain from plantar fashaitis? Guest guest
Since returning to work my feet are killing me, I have blisters every where, what secret do you have to aleviate this extreme pain? I soaked and rubbed with sesame oil, but to no avail. I am suffering a great deal of pain, and it seems no matter whar kind of shoes I wear my feet still hurt. I can hardly work in a retail environment and remain happy if my feet hurt, and there are certain comfortable shoes they will not allow us to wear due to a fashion statement. Pleae help. as the pain is so bad it brings tears to my eyes. Bonnie
Guest guest
Bonnie where precisely is the pain - are you overweight - what sort of shoes do you have to wear - please can you give more details. Guest guest
When I was working retail I use to ware SAS shoes… Their a $120.00 a pair, but well worth the money… If you are standing a lot do stretches as often as you can… keeping the back straight bend over until you feel the tightness in the back of your legs… relax into it and as you hold this position you'll notice you're moving closer to the ground… This important! Make sure you bend your knees as far as you can forward when you come up. Next stand on the balls of you feet the come down and do this over and over again… On your breaks try to put your feet up over your heart… and at lunch try to get in a long walk. Stretching and getting your feet up should help… Good luck … Noel… _____- I am suffering a great deal of pain, and it seems no matter whar kind of shoes I wear my feet still hurt. Guest guest
No my feet are quite free of any calluses or corns in fact they were as smooth as a baby's bottom and shaped quite nicely. I have been told I have beautiful feet. The pain involves the whole foot, I can barely bear weight on them when It's time to go home and often walk to my truck bare foot, as it's quite a distance away. Now I have scars and blisters all over them and the shoes, even the most comfortable ones rub against the wounds already present. I haven't been on my feet like this for several years so I imagine they need to be toughened up, but I don't want that. I bought what I thought would be comfortable shoes with nice soft leather but alas they are not after a few hours. I had on a pair of open toed shoes yesterday with very pliable soft squishy leather surrounding my big toe area, the pain at the end of the day was excruciating, and both my big toes were numb. I have gained quite a bit of weight and no doubt that is not helping the balls of my feet or my lower back. But.....with all the walking I have to do I'm sure the weight will fly right off of me. My weight gain is due to a medication called zyprexa that I was given for insomnia. Guest guest
Noel, by lunch time I am about crawling my feet hurt so bad. I do soak them when I come home and that offers little relief. I will try the stretching and putting them up thanks. Bonnie " Noel Gilbert " <noel_glbrt When I was working retail I use to ware SAS shoes. Their a $120.00 a pair, but well worth the money. Guest guest
Well come off the Zyprexa which as you must know is an anti-depressant and try the stretches especially the paschimottan asana - I put my straight leg up on the kitchen bench yesterday and then my head on my knee & it really helped - stayed there for several minutes and felt the stretch in lots of places - drinking more water is also helpful - about 6 - 8 glasses a day - I'll tell you a about a breathing technique too - later - running right now Jane ________________________________- > No my feet are quite free of any calluses or corns in fact they were as > smooth as a baby's bottom and shaped quite nicely. Any lower back injury? maybe you need basti for the lower back to help improve circulation to the lower extremeties. Weight does make a huge difference though of course. Guest guest
I have always had trouble with my feet and back even when I was a svelte 135 lbs three years ago. Now my back is really killing me and by the end of the work day I am just wiped out, and so sore and uncomfortable. Today I did a twelve hour day and tomorrow I do an eleven day. I think a good supportive shoe would help immensely, but are hard to come by without being ugly. I do have poor circulation and have always had that problem. It is so hard to lose Zyprexa weight, I have been trying unsucessivly for three now and am not budging from 204. I hate myself for it. ___ > Weight does make a huge difference though of course. Guest guest
try padahasthasana. paschimottanasana and ardha-matsiyendrasanas. if u do them corectly, it will solve lombar pain. with padahasthasana, the most important for this, stand up, with the legs straight, paralel to each other, than start bending forward from hips-joint as much as u can, without forcing lombar muscles. when u reached maximum, just relax the upper half of body, so it will bend forward under the weight of your half-body without muscular tension. do this as much as u can, at least 10 minutes per day, and it will be a miracle. also surya namaskara will re-place the vertebra at the right position and strenghten the back-muscles. in order to make your bones and vertebras stronger, take SRINGATAKA powder 2grams* 4 times per day. keep it under tongue for 20 minutes, well moistured with saliva, and then swallow it. for pain, AMMI VISNAGA will reduce it. ________________________________ Bonnie <bonniect Saturday, June 16, 2007 7:16:42 AM I have always had trouble with my feet and back even when I was a svelte 135 lbs three years ago.
