Bronchial asthma is known as " TAMAK SHVASA " in ayurveda.

It is on the rise today with increasing levels of pollution & the

stressfull lifestyle followed by people .

The attack of asthama may come without warning because of the

hypersentivity of the patient to certain substance like pollen " dust "

emanation from certain animals like dogs & cats certain food to which

the person is allergic & of course certain bacteria.

In asthama the small bronchial tubes which connect with the lungs are

constricted due to the swelling or accumulation of viscid phelgm in the

main bronchi hence the difficulty in inspiration & expiration.
