Guest guest
Respected All, My father is suffering from pain in stomach for the last 5 -6 months and his stomach is very hard (like knot type around NABHI). As per doctors advise, we have made ultrasound of stomach 4 times but no diseas is found. He also have prostat problem (9.5 gm). Now a doctor is saying that this pain is a muscles pain. Is there any muscles in stomach. if yes, please suggest me any ayurvedic medicine (pils/oinment). Thanks in advance J.A. Khan
Guest guest
Why do you need a mirror to see the bangle in the hand? This is a proverb in every indian language. What sonograms cant reveal, vaidyas can judge by the touch of their hand, with closed eyes. Your father has lumps of cholesterol, termed sometimes gall-stones in both parts of liver, sonograms do not reveal unless they are calcified and become hard. Foods containing more fats and proteins give rise to this situation. Other possibility is toxin lumps from pain killers and other allopathic medication taken during past 5-6 months, can also give rise to such pain and hardening, undetectable by Sonography. Stomach area around nabhi is harder to touch when palpated. This kind of hardening also occurs when liver, (or spleen/pancreas) gets enlarged (swollen) as a result of malignant tumors inside. In your case, sonograms have not detected such a possibility. If it is possible to contact a local vaidya, liver detox may be the best procedure to obtain total relief from the problem. But local vaidyas opinion will override what is written here. if you are interested in pain relief and slow restoration of liver, following suggestion can be given: 1. 2 cups water, 1/2 inch piece of ginger root (Adarak), 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 11 leaves of tulsi boil together till water remains 1 cup and drink when luke warm, three times a day. YOu may add jaggery or honey, to sweeten it. This is termed ginger decoction. 2. Till pain disapeears fully, take green gram water only. To make gren gram water, cook 1/2 cup green gram with 1.5 cups of water in pressure cooker for 8 minutes. Then let cool and make a uniform dhal by vigorous churning by a spoon (or in kitchen mixer) and filter using a strainer (used for tea). add 1/2 lemon juice, a little salt while drinking this water. 3. in 1/2 cup curd, put 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and take after green gram water, each time. 4. Fruit juices and fruits can be taken. Jamun, roasted bengal gram (Chana) will be helpful. But chew well. 5. If you can get fresh aloe vera pulp, pulp from 1 inch piece of the leaf, mixed with 2 pinches of turmeric powder and 2 pinches saindhav salt, taken early morning when taking ginger decoction. 6. Color of the stools, their floating nature or sinking nature would have been a good information to confirm the assessment. 7. Prostate problem increases with age, estimated here beyond 60, {your past postings show he is a grand father already). Tablets Shilajit Rasyan, or Jivit Prada Vati, 2 tablets slight chew and swallow with water, after lunch and dinner will give some relief. If they are taken minimum 3 months, considerable relief comes, as experienced by similarly aged people. These tablets can be taken with other suggestions in this post. ayurveda , jamil khan <jamil_adil wrote: > My father is suffering from pain in stomach for the > last 5 -6 months and his stomach is very hard (like > knot type around NABHI). Guest guest
Dear Dr. Sahab, Thank you very much for your suggestion. I think that you caught the right direction. My father is 65. Here I want to tell you one thing that there is a regular pain in lower abdomen (just lower from Naval i.e. Pedu) and ultraound says that liver is in normal condition. Can you expalin me the diseas in some simple language. You have suggested some treatment but they are bit slow. Is there any medicine/tube for fast relief. Can you give me the name of Vaidya around distt. Ghaziabad (UP). Is there any relation between pain and prostat. We are starting the treatment of Prostat as per your suggestion. Please reply positively. I would be very grateful to you. Thanks & Best Regards, jamil khan --- Shirish Bhate <shirishbhate wrote: > Why do you need a mirror to see the bangle in the > hand? But they cause bile obstruction in gallbladder and pain comes in spasmodic fashion. There is no simple name for this condition. If you do not understand leave the suggestions. What you were suggested wer all home remedies or liver detox under supervision of a local vaidya. The treatments in ayurveda for chronic diseases happen to be slow since, disease comes limping and goes out also limping.. In Delhi, Gunjan Thakur is a vaidya who may be interested in helping you, his email address is thakur_gunjan2003 Prostate enlargment causes bladder accumulation and pain in lower abdomen, if urine output has reduced. your post did not mention anything about urine flow, hence author did not think pain may be due to urine accumulation in bladder. Now you mention pedu as the region, this possibility needs to be looked into..hence suggestion to meet local vaidya. Whatever suggestions given to you included mainly home remedies and shilajit rasayan for prostate would take care of both, whether gallstones or prostate enlargement. Ginger, lemon, tulsi, turmeric have a wide are of action, liver, bladder, prostate also. e.g. Stones in urinary system are taken care by lemon juice alone if they are small. > > We are starting the treatment of Prostat as per your > suggestion. If you contact loacal vaidya, please take every suggestion of his, and ignore everything written by this author. Local vaidya will be in better position to assess your health problem. you may also contact Hkm Ubaid in Delhi, he is also our member. > --- Shirish Bhate <shirishbhate wrote: > > Your father has lumps of cholesterol, termed > > sometimes gall-stones in > > both parts of liver, sonograms do not reveal unless > > they are > > calcified and become hard.<snip>

Guest guest
A post received from Dr Muzumdar has been reproduced here Dear Shirish, Is it necessary to degrade a sonologist's report to such a level that a grossly enlarged liver or spleen may be missed while checking? I think if it was a case of liver enlargement or spleen or pancreas, it would have been easily detected by the family doctor or consultant by palpating the stomach at first instance. And it should be worth remembering that liver / spleen / pancreas enlargement cause far more distressing and complicated conditions than just abdominal swelling. Even though gall-stones are not formed, the matter is visible as sludge on sonography. Pain if due to stones is caused when they get obstructed in common bile-duct and they are definitely detectable in such condition on sonography. Just presence of gall-stones in themselves do not cause pain. Swelling and thickening of gall- bladder can cause pain. This condition can also be easily detected on sonography. I feel that the patient is most probably suffering from very chronic form of low-grade colitis which comes under Jeerna Pravahika with Aatop.OR / AND it could also be worms (KRIMI), the more trouble- some ones. Worms are not visible on sonography. Before diagnosing properly, no remedy is going to hit the bull's eye. ayurveda , " Shirish Bhate " <shirishbhate wrote: > > Why do you need a mirror to see the bangle in the hand? While an ayurvedist has Gods gift in his fingers, allopathy misses a lot, despite impressive diagnostic machinery. This happens when resolution of USG is little poor and MRI is beyond patients reach or indication for same does not come from USG. An interesting case (15-20 years ago) from a allopathic hospital involving stomach pain issues is described here: http://health.ayurveda/message/2903 Incidently, the issue of parasites (Krimis) also cropped up, but the pains continued after some gap! Regarding the issue of relying on modern diagnostics, opinion of another practicing member can be found in message 4041. And authors limited experience with test reports when investigations were carried out by patients on their own, are described in http://health.ayurveda/message/9270
Guest guest
We are considering our limited experience and few cases as exemplary examples to prove against modern advances, when lacs and lacs of lives are saved by these diagnostic measures throughout the world. This is more so evident in Pregnancy management and grave injuries to skull / brain / nervous system. There will be crores of people vouching for the benefits of these techniques, if you go and ask in the vast open world.Bad personal experiences cannot be generalised when hard-core science is at stake. People having adverse experience with Ayurveda will blame Ayurveda. But the right aspect would be that - It should be the person who is treating who should be blamed rather than the whole of Ayurveda. The same rule applies everywhere. This position of avoiding modern techniques would be like avoiding a travel by automobile or plane, just because some people have had accident / adverse experience. Guest guest
Last month, a person (55) suffering from stomach pain spent almost a month in hospitals in Raipur (M.P.) and a week in Hyderabad. His final diagnosis of Lung cancer metastasized to stomach was made at Bombay Hospital, after six weeks. By this time, it has spread so much and to such areas that nothing is possible, other than some pain relief. Oncologist advised him to go to his native place(Raipur) and start the countdown. Even powerful panchgavya medicines become ineffective once cancer starts from lungs or metastasizes to lungs. Hard core statistics on reliability of tests, the comparison of alternateive diagnosis methods being used world over, superiority of traditional diagnosis of ayurveda, the role of intuition, the real purpose of increase in number of tests, are the aspects discussed by a western herbal guru Dr. Michael Tierra. Since article is long, author avoids temptation to post the excerpts and takes reader to the article itself: http://health./message/5074 ayurveda , muzumdar <dahpc wrote: > > We are considering our limited experience and few cases as exemplary examples to prove against modern advances, when lacs and lacs of lives are saved by these diagnostic measures throughout the world. <snip>
