Guest guest
Have you tried Swami Ramdevji's set of pranayams, sookksha vyayams (light exercises) and dietary instructions? A number of people come and tell daily at his yoga camps that they got their BP cured. By attending his week-long camps, many have reported their BP coming down to normal. What is your experience? Please do tell us. I have also developed some simple exercises as per details at www.atbsnr.com that might help you. They are simple do-it-yourself exercises that take hardly a few minutes and have no side effects. Hence there is no harm trying them. If you try, please do give this writer feedback. For more info, please feel free to email me after you have visited the above website. Wishing you speedy recovery, S. M. Guest guest
Dear Prakash After attending two camps of Baba Ramdev and taking Muktawati for 3 years, author does not think that your Pranayama had a faulty style or your faith in the routine or Mukatawati was lacking. The lack of success simply means your Muktawati and Pranayama dose was inadequate. Baba Ramdev teaches Patanjali techniques of Pranayama. Author has posted some sketchy details of Tantric breathing techniques of Tibetan master Guru Padmasambhava, which aim at increasing the lung capacity and making lung function more efficient, increasing blood circulation so that the chance of atherosclerosis or arterial plaques are reduced. Increasing cellular oxygen was also shown to take care of obesity amongst many other benefits. YOu may read these messages at ayurveda/message/6242 ayurveda/message/6308 If you wish to learn these in person, (which is the only way to learn them perfectly) contact off-list stating your location, convenient week for learning. One week will be needed. ON the other hand, if you have a practitioner of these techniques in neighbourhood, meet him. Two patients with B.P. in the range 220/120 to 200/90 for more than 10- 15 years took 3-5 months of this breathing exercise, along with a panchgavya medicine to normalize their BP to better than allopathic normal values. BP started reducing within 2 weeks only, but more than 3 months were needed to restore elasticity of arteries. Since Hypertension is not a separate disease in ayurveda, it is only a symptom of dosha unbalance. once dosha state is corrected B.P. returns to normal or super-normal. The most serious side effects of your present medication are indicated at ayurveda/message/10018 Author would like to ask one question. When you were taking Muktawati and doing Pranayama, were you also on allopathic medication simultaneously? ayurveda , prakash bhagnari <prakashbhagnari wrote: I have attended 2 camps of Ramdev Ji Maharaj and doing regular exercise and taking Muktavati for the last three years, but no effect. Guest guest
Dear Shirish, Thank you very much for taking the trouble of giving me valuable information on High BP. I have been taking Muktavati, doing anulom vilom, Kapal Bhati and at the same time I must take allopathy medicine, without which my BP shoot up. I have tried all this. Now as far as Taantrik breathing technique is concerned, I am not aware. I am from Mumbai, where to go or how to go about, if you brief me, I may understand. thanking you, yours faithfully, prakash bhjagnari Shirish Bhate <shirishbhate wrote: <snip> If you wish to learn these in person, (which is the only way to learn them perfectly) contact off-list stating your location, convenient week for learning. Guest guest
Dear Prakash, No single medicine be a final answer for a particular disease. The same rule applies to Muktavati also. If you want to start Ayurvedic treatment, you will need to get thoroughly checked and assessed by Ayurvedic parameters by Ayurvedic doctor. However, as your problem is long-standing ( CHIRAKARI ); you will need to continue the treatment for life-time (YAAPYA Category). Yoga, Breathing exercises (Pranayama), Meditation will help to a certain extent in reducing the dose of medicine but total withdwawal seems to be a impossible task in your case. Meanwhile try to improve your life-style habits. Proper sleep, stress reduction, abstinence from alcohol and/or tobacco, low-salt and low-fat food goes a long way in stabilising the blood-pressure to permissible limits. So proper Aahaar (Diet), Vihaar (Activity) and Aushadh(Medicine) are all necessary to address your problem.
