Guest guest
Hi all, Thank you for responses from group members. Here are more details on Gandush and Kaval, most of the friends have asked for it. Actually Gandush and Kaval is a good subject for teaching in west. Usually it takes me min. one session (2 hours) to teach and train therapists and doctors in Europe to this subject. Gandush and Kawal is differently classified by Sushrut samhita and Vagbhatta. (Su.Chi. 40 - 62 & Sha. Utt. 10-4) Sushrut has described 4 kind of Kawal (su.chi. 40-58) Vagbhatta has described 4 kind of Gandusha (Ashtang, Hridaya, su., 22 - 1 to 6) I wish all of you will take little effort to open the books and study all these types. Here are the benefits of Gandush and Kaval; Gandush is recommended in / for : - to improve strength of lower jaw and chin - to improve quality of speech, voice - to improve strength of face - to increase liking towards food - to improve senses of taste - useful in dry lips, thirst - improves strength of gums and teeth (Ref. Charak Samhita, Sutra sthan, 5 - 78 to 80, Sushrut samhita, Chikitsa sthan, 24 - 12) Kaval is good in conditions, such as; - manyashul - shirahshul (headache) - Karna roga (ear diseases) - Akshi roga (Eye diseases) - Lalasrav (excessive salivation) - Kanth roga (Throat problems) - Mukhashosh (Thirst) - Tandra - Aruchi (Anorexia) - Pinas (Chronic sinusitis?) (Ref. Ashtang Hriday, sutra, 2 -12) Once again all the best wishes, Dr. Prerak Shah, www.ayulink.com
