If you wish to avoid meeting dentist, a tooth powder made from a cow

dung mixture with neem, tulsi etc, roasted into charcoal, powdered and mixed

with sea salt, eucalyptus oil, alum etc can ensure clean odorless mouth,

strong healthy gums and strong teeth too.

This tooth powder is available in all places selling Panchgavya

medicines. The cost for a family of four per month less than Rs 20/-.

No tooth brush needed. Babul or Neem twig " Datoon " is also avilable in

some parts of Mumbai where Gujarati population high density.

All friends,

Gandush or oil pulling are of two kind;

One method is to fill the oral cavity with herbal / plain liquid where you can

move it inside the cavity (This is known as Kaval). And second is, you have to

fill the liquid in such quantity where you can not move it. (This is known as

Gandush).

In place of oils, one can use ghee, milk, fresh juices or decoction too.

When I train therapists or doctors in Europe, I always give them option of ghee

and milk to replace oil.

Sesame oil is best. Oil should be little warm. One can add pinch of rock salt in

the oil,. to help the toxins to come out (due to lekhana guna of salt).

Gandush and Kaval can be used as a main tool for the treatment of various oral

cavity conditions.

Anybody wants to have more information, pl feel free to contact me.

With best wishes,

Dr. Prerak Shah

Everybody wishes Indian medicinal knowledge must grow

of course many times doctors neglect new medicines

and new opinions.

If you get a gum infection then only you Will know

how severe it is.

Gingivitis is a serious gum infection

generally clove is a good germ killer

similarly salt

similarly Alum but it will slowly dissolve calcium

better use it in a short time and stop

camphor is another good germ killer

but in painful conditions one cannot try irritants

in such case sarasaparilla small long root variety

will work.

drink the decaution, will finish all germs in blood

gargling the decaution will heal the gum

haridgi i a good wound healer decaution can be

gargled.

Karungali tamil name , sanskrit I dont know.

A black charcoal colour wood is excellent in gargling

decauction

R.Vidhyasagar.

Can you provide more information as what are expected benefits

differences between Kaval & Gandush? And when should one perform either?
