Guest guest
I have known people to be very successful with the Weight Watchers diet. How long have you been on it? What kind of work out are you doing as well? Bonniect <bonniect wrote: Well Dr. Joshi, I for one need to lose 75 lbs. which was medication induced, not from over eating. Guest guest
It has been six weeks of strenuous exercise, and following the diet to the letter. I did read that it is possible but difficult to lose this weight, I just didn't realize how difficut. This was given to me for insomnia. Guest guest
Yeah this is a bit tougher. I have worked with people in this situation. WE have found that drinking two litres of water daily, doing pranayama and perhps doing a good panchakarma seem to help. Guest guest
Well hang in there. It took me 2 years to lose 60 lbs, but since then I haven't gained any of it back. Well, until I got pregnant, that is. Some tips that will maybe help, if you aren't already doing it: -Make sure you're drinking enough water (I know thats a duh for the people on this site but you'd be surprised how many people don't know to drink water) -Make sure you are incorporating weight training and cardio into your work out routine. Doing one or the other alone does not burn fat nearly as well as doing both. Plus, if you build up muscle mass you will burn more fat when you aren't working out as well. -Make sure you aren't doing the same exercises everyday. If you don't mix it up your body gets used to it and it stops being a struggle (ie, a workout) for it. -Sneak exercise in in other ways. Park in the farthest spot in the lot at work and the store, or better yet, park a block or two away from work. Doing this adds up to miles of extra walking a month. Always take the stairs. Wear wrist and ankle weights. Even really scrubbing the house down can burn a lot of calories. My favorite trick is to listen to music while doing chores and to dance. It makes you happy at the same time. I lost all my weight simply by strict adherance to the food pyramid and a lot of working out. I ran 2 to 4 miles a day, three days a week, worked out a different muscle group for an hour every day, five days a week, did cardio on a machine (such as a treadmill or eliptical)for a half hour two days a week, did yoga and pilates classes two days a week, and on the weekends I went hiking or snorkeling. I was on about 1200 calories a day during this time period. Thats what worked for me. Good luck! --- Bonniect <bonniect wrote: > It has been six weeks of strenuous exercise, and > following the diet to the > letter.
