Guest guest
Raji, Your son's eczyma symptoms sound very much alike mine, when he was a baby. You've mentioned that your son is allergic to wheat, but he still takes less amt of wheat. From my experience and all kinds of experiments I did, I have found that 'WHEAT / GLUTEN " IS THE MAIN CULPRIT FOR ECZYMA, when your child is allergic to wheat. You will notice a big improvement if you stop wheat COMPLETELY. You will realize that you will hardly find any snacks with no wheat / gluten. Take a careful look at the ingredient list, before you give him anything. In U.S, even many brands of potatoe chips have wheat. (Lays doesn't have)! I don't know where you live.... If you live in a dry weather area, use of humidifier at nights would help a lot. My child's skin also became reddish when I tried coconut oil, gingilley etc. Oive oil was ok, but didn't help much. Almond oil has been very useful. I apply soap for him while bathing only every other day. If he takes tub bath, add a few teaspoons of oil in the bathtub. I'm a pure vegetarian, so no idea abt meat / egg. But many underground vegetables used to provoke eczyma when he was a baby. At first, I totally stopped them, then I introduced them slowly at a time, in very small quantities. After a few yrs, he developed better immunity & now he can tolerate many vegetables. If u need more info abt diet / recipes / gfcf snacks available, u can become a member of grp called GFCF recipes, it is a great and very supportive grp. Hope it helps & good luck to you!
