Guest guest Posted March 8, 2007 Report Share Posted March 8, 2007 Namaste everyone Is there any vaidya out there who practices Pashu Chikitsa or Ayurveda treatments for animals. My dog Moti just got diagnosed with cancer. She is 8.5 yrs old. I am wondering if Ayurveda can treat cancer especially in animals. Right now I have started her on curcumin as study at MD Anderson cancer institute showed some positive results. They are going to surgically remove the ear canal where cancer is present at Texas A & M university. And I need help after the surgery as I do not want her on radiation and chimo. People over there are not aware of any non conventional holistic approach. Diet She has been on home cooked diet for past 7 yrs. We have been making stew of seasonal vegtables and small piece of meat (mostly lamb) and giving to her with rice or roti (tortilla). As we cook her food in three days supply we have to keep it in freezer. We heat it in microwave before giving it to her and other dogs. I am wondering if radiated meat or microwave may have caused the cancer. We tried to turn them into vegetarians like us but they refused and it was going aginst nature too. But we have reduced the amount of meat they eat to mimum. Its more to flavor the vegetables.
