My heartfelt thanks to Dr Bhate for compiling and presenting such

useful information. A lay-person like me sure gets lot of useful

information for leading a healthy life in these " iron rules " with the

lucid reasoning that became the trademark of Dr Bhate.

I am in a place in USA where there are no vaidyas nearby. Probably,

the nearest one is Dr. Todd in Canada - If I drive for 8 or 10 hours

(:

I am around 52 and noticed some difficulty with my memory recall

(both long & short term) - may be 15 to 20% deterioration. I think

the usage of anti-depressants in my 40s for over 8 years might be the

reason - Just an educated guess.

I am otherwise in good health and I eat typical south Indian food

even in the freezing Montana weather. I take Chyavanprash daily &

Triphala as needed. I currently use no other medication.

As a friend suggested, I got Medha Vati from Divya Pharmacy of Baba

Ramdev. I browsed several web sites.. They only mention the dosage..

1 or 2 tabs in the morning & evening..

My question is:

How long do I take this a medication?

Do I keep taking until I feel that my memory recall is better?

What if this not the right medication for my problem?

Is there a point when I say, " May be I took enough of these tablets " ?

Are there any harmful effects if I keep taking these tablets - say

for one year?

I know it is ideal to see a vaidya on my next trip home. But, I am

not planning a trip in the near future.

Can you please help me? When do I decide that I had enough Medha Vati

or for that matter, any Ayurvedic medication?

Pranam
