Guest guest
The Malic Acid I have purchased from a wine making shop has a frightening label on it saying " Harmful If Swallowed " and a list of awful things that could happen to my mouth, throat and digestive tract if I did. However the shop assures me that it must be 'Food Grade' because it is used in wine making and would eventually be swallowed. This may be another example of over rigorous European Union rules, or perhaps companies are worried about getting sued and are simply covering themselves - like McDonalds and their hot coffee law suit. Would be grateful to hear if anyone else has swallowed Malic Acid with a similar label and lived to tell the tale of their Liver Cleanse. Guest guest
Welcome The source for malic acid that I use and I know is safe is http://shop.piwine.com/shopsite/prwc/product48.html I would check with Andreas Moritz regarding malic acid in Europe. Guest guest
I contacted the site you recommended in the US One Love, but it would cost an extra $30 to ship a parcel to England, and no doubt the UK customs would put their bit on top too. So I would like to stick with the stuff I've already managed to buy here. Andreas says: " If you tried swallowing malic acid as is, you would indeed develop those problems. So please never try to do that. Dissolve in plenty of water, 1/2 teaspoon in 16 ounces of water. Then it is of similar concentration as in apple juice or wine. " I forgot to ask how much to take over the next 6 days of preparation. Is it 4 x 8oz glasses a day? (ie. One diluted teaspoon of malic acid). Many thanks Sally , OneLove <alchematron> wrote: > Welcome > > The source for malic acid that I use and I know is > safe is > http://shop.piwine.com/shopsite/prwc/product48.html > > I would check with Andreas Moritz regarding malic acid > in Europe. > > OneLove > > > abfab_wannabe <abfab_wannabe> wrote: > > > > > The Malic Acid I have purchased from a wine making > > shop has a > > frightening label on it saying " Harmful If > > Swallowed " and a list of > > awful things that could happen to my mouth, throat > > and digestive > > tract if I did.
