Guest guest
Hi All. Does anyone have any recommendations for practictioners in the Portland Oregon area? Thanks, Bonnie
Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, I'm from Portland too! I can definitely make some recommendations to you for health practitioners. For colonics, I go to " All's Well That Ends Well " at the Circle Healthcare Clinic (NE 28th and Couch). The woman who works on me is Jill Simons, and she is very personable, as well as professional. Makes you feel very comfortable. For acupuncture and allergy treatment, I go to a woman named Rayna Jacobson (503-236-9609). Not only does she do acupuncture and NAET, she also integrates an fascinating healing protocol called " Bodytalk, " where she asks the body questions about its process, and measures its answers using kinesiology., Really interesting stuff. I also know a FANTASTIC massage therapist if you need relaxation and bodywork. If $$$ is an issue, there is also the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine Clinic. It is 4th-year acupuncture students who work on patients, supervised the whole time by real Chinese doctors. It is very economical, and I've always gotten good treatments there. They offer Chinese herbs as well. As for my own healing journey, I am on Day 8 (final) of the Ayurvedic Cleance, and am experiencing great results. My skin experienced a dramatic " peel, " and beautiful, radiant skin is underneath. It's almost too good to be true! Interestingly, the hot showers didn't irritate my skin at all. I was hesitant to even try the heat, because I've been SO sensitive to heat my whole life, experiencing horrible swelling and itchiness and lingering redness. But, in fact, the heat actually seemed to soothe my skin rather than irritate it. It facilitated the peeling and rebirth of new skin. I had trouble holding the enema fluid, and had to release after about 20 minutes each time. I suspect this is common. Still felt the healing effects though. The pollen here in Portland has also calmed down, which I believe is quieting my skin as well. In " Western " terms, the constant release of allergy histamines causes a dilation/leakiness in mast cells, particularly in the face, leading to redness and swelling. In Chinese terms, it's excess heat. Whatever the science, I know my rosacea is interwoven with my allergies, but I am in a state of blissful relief for the moment. Guest guest
Hi Jen. I am thrilled for you! Your healing also keeps my optimism strong. Thank you for the recommendations. I actually lived in SW Portland for a long time but am currently in Hillsboro so I think I might check out practioners a little closer to me but if I can't find anyone I am happy with I am more than willing to make the trip to one of the people you mentioned - I especially am intrigued by your accupuncturist. Take care, :)Bonnie P.S. - Have had the same experience you are having with the enemas. , " jenbernard2004 " <jen@l...> wrote: > Hi Bonnie, > > I'm from Portland too!
