Guest guest
Hi Bonnie You are welcome. Yes, castor oil should be refrigerated after opening. This applies to all oil except ghee (clarified butter.) The shelf life for oil is 3 months. If you use olive oil in your food, it is convenient to put a small portion in a seperate bottle and put the remainder in the refrigerator since it becomes hard when cold. If you use sunflower oil in your food, I have read that it should not be heated in cooking since it becomes toxic. Linda Prout in her book Live In The Balance has a good chapter on oil. Olive oil and ghee is considered ok to heat in cooking. Remember, during the healing process, adding oil to food should be moderate. A teaspoon on a meal is a good measure.
