Guest guest
Animal Meat and Rosacea Although there have been no official studies linking the consumption of animal meat and rosacea, it is a factor worthy of consideration. We live in a time where the consumption of meat is the highest in history. Factory farming, fast food, and advertising has helped to create a culture of meat eaters. We are taught in school that meat is one of the essential food groups for a balanced diet. Another factor for the high consumption of meat is that most people are completely dis-connected from the meat they eat. See the free Meet Your Meat video here http://www.meetyourmeat.com Some medical doctors are now coming forward to say we need to re-evaluate what comprises a balanced diet in relation to health and disease. They propose a plant based diet of whole grains, legumes, vegetables, and fruit to be the ideal for disease prevention and longevity. Meat is also at the top of the food chain and has been scientifically proven to be a source of internal pollution. Chinese medicine categorizes disease as being one of excess or deficiency. The primary diseases of modern culture like heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes are seen as diseases of excess. With rosacea seen as a heat imbalance, it too is classified as a disease of excess. Excess is defined as too much heat producing food, toxic food, stress, and negative emotions which all contribute to unbalance. For those who enjoy animal meat, numerous plant based products are now available at health food stores and restaurants which duplicate the taste and texture of meat plus organic food is widely available. This information is not intended to proselytize a vegetarian diet, but bring consideration to the modern western diet in relation to rosacea. References The McDougall Program - John A.
