Dear OneLove,

Thank you for answering my questions (my two previous posts). Ah,

yes -- when you tell me what's going on, it all makes sense. Like

anyone else, I suppose, I need to actually experience a phenomenon

before I understand it and really appreciate it. Thank goodness I

allow myself the experiences.

Is there a site or a book that talks about the face reflecting the

organs in the body? I often come across one-off sentences about

this, but I've yet to find everything together (and, very

importantly, well-written) in one place.

I had no idea the liver was the eyebrows. (Although I'd heard, of

course, that under eye shadows were frequently caused by a clogged-

up liver. Is this so, or is this another organ? See, I really need a

good source of matching-up information!)

I am grateful for your help.

Best,

Hi PC

You are welcome. A basic book is by Harriet Beinfield

titled Between Heaven and Earth: A Guide to Chinese

Medicine.

Check out the liver meridian link below.

Notice how the meridian runs up both cheeks to the

eyebrows. This also factors in for people with ocular

rosacea.

Dark circles under the eyes are more related to weak

vital energy which is associated with the kidney

adrenal system. A clogged liver can factor in too. In

Chinese medicine, the kidney adrenal system is

considered the root or store house of ones vital

energy.

Lifestyle and diet in Chinese medicine is

geared toward supplementing and preserving vital

energy. This is a very important concept which the

west has yet to fully recognize or value. Longevity is

due to vital energy.

Hey, OneLove,

Thanks very much for those fantastic links to the TCM body maps. The

pathways already explain many things to me. Interestingly, one is my

big toe pain. It always feels, well, " out of joint " . Wonder if it

will heal after a few liver flushes.

I'd gone to chiropractors and to a Chinese Bone Work person, they

pulled at my poor toes, and for an hour or so they'd feel OK. But

went back to their weirdly languid state.

Odd how the Bone Work person didn't say the big toe is connected to

the liver (you know the song)when he seemed to know so much about

TCM,meridians et al (he also did acupuncture).

Best wishes,
