Guest guest
I didd my first liver cleanse in December, and am now starting my first ayur cleanse...is it important how long you take between cleanses? Does it help if any if there is too much time between them? BTW...the pitta reducing diet fits all my triggers...like last week when I decided to experiment and eat spagetti with meat...wow! What a flush! I find I can eat red meat if I take hydrochloric acid and pancreatic enzymes before eating..I use these digestives all the time to prevent flushing in general...any problems using them that you can see? Also, last question, any ideas for nausea from drinking the 2 ozs of ghee first thing in the morning? I feel like I want to eat right away to stop the feeling. Is there a minimum time to wait before eating? drinking? tea? Thanks ViolinTango
Guest guest
Greetings Congratulations on your first liver cleanse. Once you begin cleansing, you should continue cleansing on a regular basis. Leave at least 2 weeks between each cleanse. Best not to go more than 4 weeks without cleansing. Eating any kind of animal meat during the duration of cleansing is not recommended. I would suggest gradually cutting back on hydrochloric acid and enzymes. Cleansing and a better diet will help re-balance your body. With a balanced body, you should not have to depend on digestive supplements. Regarding the ghee and nausea, you might try drinking camomile tea 30 minutes after the ghee, or wait 3 hours to eat some food. Guest guest
I haven't eaten meat or poultry (only fish) since I was 7 y.o. and I am now 32. I was thinking that maybe with all of the problems I have been having, rosacea, two benign tumors (one in my liver and one in my breast), maybe I'm missing the benefits of meat. Just want to know what people think....Thanks for your input.
Guest guest
Greetings Although I do not know your entire health history, I would venture to say that not eating meat is not the issue. Many feel that the modern western diet and not cleansing internally on a regular basis leads to health imbalances. Most associate eating fish with a healthy diet, however it is controversial due to mercury and other contaminants in fish. Also most fish is heating. Guest guest
Which fish, if any, are not heating, and are all tinned fish contaminated whatever their type? Guest guest
Hi Steve I double checked the food list in the book Ayurvedic Cooking for Self Healing by Dr. Vasant Lad and all fish is listed as heating. Keep in mind that once you no longer have a heat imbalance (rosacea), moderate amounts of fish is ok. Fresh water fish is ok for the pitta and kapha body type. Fresh water and salt water fish is ok for the vata body type. Raw fish sushi is not recommended due to the risk of parasitic worms. I am not sure what the current status is for which fish is contaminated or not. I personally avoid the entire issue by not eating any animal meat. Kind regards OneLove Steve Sharp <steve_sharp12 wrote: > Which fish, if any, are not heating, and are all > tinned fish > contaminated whatever their type? > > Thanks > > Steve > > UK > > > , alchematron > <alchematron> > wrote: > > Greetings > > > > Although I do not know your entire health history, > I > > would venture to say that not eating meat is not > the > > issue. Guest guest
Hi One Love What would be the source of the essential omega-3 oils if fish and nuts are excluded from the diet? Sorry I do not have a copy of the book you refer to. Also, do you know of any UK suppliers of colonics, as tougher regulations mean that ordering from the US may be difficult. Thanks Steve
Guest guest
Hi Steve Omega 3 oil is found in hemp seeds and ground flax seeds. Check your health food store for availability. If you are referring to the colema board, the supplier in the UK is http://www.re-awake.co.uk Please note I am not an advocate of the cleansing supplements the supplier represents because they tend to be harsh on the system. If you are referring to a colonic hydro-therapist, check your telephone directory, health food store, holistic health directory, or internet. Kind regards OneLove Steve Sharp <steve_sharp12 wrote: > Hi One Love > > What would be the source of the essential omega-3 > oils if fish and > nuts are excluded from the diet?
