Guest guest
Dear One Love, Let me preface this by saying I was humming along with the Ayurvedic Cleansing page. It all sounded perfect to me. Then I hit the Castor Oil part. I know Castor Oil can be quite strong in its uses. Here are my questions: 1) The recommended three teaspoons of Castor Oil -- is this for anyone of any size and weight? For example, I am 120 lbs., slender. Wouldn't I need less Castor Oil than someone bigger? 2) I have Castor Oil at home, which I have used for " The Castor Oil Pack " . Is all Castor Oil the same? 3) Related to question 2, my Castor Oil at home smells OK. Does it go rancid? So, shall I get a new supply for drinking? Again, thank you for this wonderful information group. Sincerely, PC
Guest guest
Hi PC Thank you for your comments. Three teaspoons of castor oil in the Ayurvedic cleanse is a general dosage. With your weight, two teaspoons should be sufficient. The purpose of the castor oil is to remove heat from the small intestine. I have read some castor oil is processed with a solvent which is not to be used. You want castor oil solvent free. I bought mine from herb-inc.com Your local drug store should have it too. All oil eventually goes rancid. I would start with a new bottle.
