Guest guest
Hi I am actually posing this questin to Onelove, but I would appreciate everyone's advice and as much input as possible. My Background: I am 23 years old and have had moderate acne since I was 16 years old. I have been on Roaccutane since I was 17 years old on and off, about 4 - 6 months per year. While I was on it, it certainly made a difference, but it's a very dangerous drug. It affected me metally and physically. My doctor advised me to go off it immediately as it causes internal and liver damage. I have been urinating dark yellow urine for 2 years now. This is most definitely because of the Accutane. I'm off Acutane now, and I'm still young enough to recover. I don't smoke or drink and live a otherwise healthy, active lifestyle. Anyway, after the Accutane I went to the Differin gel which is basically the Accutane in a gel form. It doesn't have all the side effects, but it doesn't work at all. It made my skin break out and just aggrevated everything. While searching the net for differin trials I came to the realisation that it doesn't really work, besides it works from the outside in. My girlfriend recommended I go see a iridologist. I went and he pointed out that Accutane is a very dangerous drug and that I should never have been on it as it has done more damage than good. He has given me advice to alter my diet -to stay clear of dairy, wheat, sugar and red meat. I have been doing so for the last two weeks. Along with that he has given me homeopathic medicine to rebuild my liver and some other stuff he said will work. Along with my research on the web I also realised something else. Most dermatologists prescribe Roche Products because they get money out of it - its expensive. And most people on the internet claiming alternative methods work are normally scam artists. Miracle cream, or parasite cleansing products are all a scam - taking advantage of people in desperation of which they know will do anything to heal themselves. Even Helda Clark is a scam - do a search on her name on the internet and you will soon realise that she has been running an unlicensed practice in mexico and have taken people for a run for their money. She has also been arrested. She made millions out of her books - false hope. The reason why I am writing is the following: It's only been 2 weeks since my new diet. I haven't really been taking the medicine as prescribed, but I forced my self to do it from today onwards. My acne hasn't cleared yet. I know I do not have Rosacea, but I believe Acne is tied closely together with Rosacea. What can I do to clear it? What will really work? Should I go on a liver cleanse? Does this really work? The reason why I wrote you is because Onelove said acne is caused by excessive heat and toxins. Here's the interesting part. My body is always quite warm, especially my face. I very seldom sweat through my face, occasionally through my body. I have oily skin. I have medium to high cholestrol. Maybe if I sweat more it will help. Maybe if I prohibit my body from becoming naturally hot in the first place it will help. Maybe if I prohibit my skin from being oily in the first place it will help, from the inside out. How do I go about the above, and how to I clear my skin, for good, and from the inside out. What do you think about iridology, do you think it is worth a shot? Your advice is much appreciated. Thanks Carlo
Guest guest
hey Carlo, i cant tell u much and i am no expert and i don't know anything about accutane. what i can tell you is that for rosacea at least for me is that it is very iimportantto keep cool. in my opinion for r anyway it does seem to help me control my face. i do this by drinking lots of iced water, and keeping in a cool place and not exercising when its hot in fact i try not to let my face sweat at all ever. i also am not a believer in hhomoeopathyas i believe it is crap. this hhomoeopathyin my oopinionis flawed from the word go. ttheiridea to dilute something down to 1/10000000 is rridiculous ttheirproducts wont work. but i do believe that irrodoloy can show signs of problems. so ddon'tget the two cconfused by the sounds of things you saw a hhomoeopathyppractitionerwho uses irridoloy to diagnose problems thats good what he said is maybe right but i don't think their medicines will help. but i do think that the meat, wheat and milk is probably not a bad idea in stopping. but be sure to get a balanced diet, calcium and iron supplements and others if you are going to stop dairy, meat. thats my two cents worth and if you want to clarify a point do not hesitate to respond. Guest guest
Welcome Carlo Fortunately you are still young which means your body has a lot of rejuvenation energy. Your assumptions are correct. The same factors that manifest rosacea (heat and toxins) also manifest acne. Also at the onset of puberty, hormones generate more oil in the skin which cause the pores to become easily clogged. The key is to remove heat and toxins through internal cleansing combined with the initial detox diet, then once healed, eating a diet according to your body type. Iridology I do not feel is necessary. Homeopathic medicine for acne probably will produce little or no long term results.
