Guest guest
Perhaps there is a place for a discussion on male and female traits on this group,( see posts of Drs. Zala and Bhashyam and also Sunil Bhattacharya) because it does impact our approach to health. The gender disparity in approaches to health care and accessing public and private health care facilities is well documented. See for instance, Satyamala et al, Taking Sides. Also the Pune based Centre for Advocacy in Mental Health notes that use of traditional healing centres is also gendered. Recently, the US study on accessing Complementary and Alternate health modalities noted that women are more likely to use such services than men. All this has policy implications for us Indians. I am attaching an American viewpoint on this topic. It is congruent with mine. Thanks and regards.
