Guest guest Posted June 12, 2007 Report Share Posted June 12, 2007 The sun shines on the just and the unjust, the righteous and the unrighteous - it is so difficult to be loving towards those who deliberately insult us - it feels like such an unfriendly - even hatred filled - gesture - why do people have such hatred in their hearts against each other - is it a fear based mechanism? It probably is that. The Dalai Lama is here in Australia at the moment - officials have ignored invitations to meet and speak with him - the prime minister may not meet with him this visit - his response? He said that he understands how important trade with China is for this country, he understands that it may not be possible for people to meet with him and that he doesn't care. He says it with a loving and open heart, you can see this. How fortunate we are to have an example here amongst us of true Love for all beings - love for them whether they like us or accept us or not.
