Guest guest
Dear Jane, Sai Ram. No. Those whith chemical coatings like Teflon are toxic because they may suffer degradation due to heat and the products of degradation may be not so good. But there are stainless steel vessels, so highly polished tha the food doesn't stick (sticking requires a slight surface roughness), even with less oil or no oil depending on the food being cooked, fried etc. Since there is no chemical coating, these vessels are safe. But very expensive and need careful handling. If surface becomes rough the non-stick property disappers.
