Guest guest
Understanding the Drugs We Are Putting Into the Bodies of Our Children http://drdavestein.com/index.php?action=website-view & WebPageID=13250 & WebSiteID=453Dr David B Stein The easiest way to understand what these drugs do is to clarify what they are. * Ritalin is stimulant drug that is similar in chemical structure to the amphetamines. Its action in the body, and its effect is almost perfectly identical to cocaine. This is why high school and college students are snorting it to get high. * Adderall now ranks number one in sales, surpassing Ritalin, which has been getting such bad publicity. Adderall contains two full-blown amphetamines, within one capsule: Benzedrine and Dexedrine, called Bennies and Dexies on the street. Benzedrine may no longer be prescribed by itself to anyone, not even an adult, because of its high abuse potential, and yet it is in this pill! * Gradumet and Desoxyn are two less popular drugs, but it may surprise you that they are both pure “methamphetamine;” the very same ‘meth’ you would go to jail for, if it were in your pocket without a prescription. * Cylert, the mildest of the arsenal of drugs, has dramatically dropped in sales because of deaths or serious problems to the liver. All of these drugs interfere with the production of growth hormone, GH, in children, and therefore affect the normal growth and development of the body, the head, and the brain. There is recent evidence that these drugs may affect the immune and cardiovascular systems of otherwise healthy children. Are these the things you want to put into the bodies of your children? He is the author of Ritalin Is Not the Answer; The Ritalin Is Not the Answer Action Guide; Unraveling the ADD/ADHD Fiasco: Successful Parenting Without Drugs; Stop Medicating, Start Parenting; and Controlling the Difficult Adolescent. "We have allowed (the drugs) industry to subvert the rules of science. We have watched quietly as governments and academics have colluded with industry to hide information critical to our patients. We have remained silent as our medical schools have churned out graduates who have no knowledge of the dilemmas and scandals of medicine. We have allowed many of our medical journals to become corrupted and timid," - Dr Aubrey Blumsohn
