Guest guest Posted December 27, 2006 Report Share Posted December 27, 2006 Hi Jag, Joyce called me today and here is the update. Apparently she had a bacterial and viral infection. The doc thinks there may of been some sort of bleed in the head, and her vision is not all darkened, it is totally distorted. She sees things however she cannot distinguish what they are as they don't look like anything she has seen before... like when she looks at Mike, he has one eye and his ears are in another place in the room and the other eye is somewhere else. She looks at herself and cannot doesn't recognize herself as she looks like something else. She can't see lamps or things and runs into them. She went to the doctor, however she is not going back because she knows the drugging route. She is thinking it is temporary. She is frightened by all of it and I tried to encourage her to look at the healing power of the body, even suggesting her to ask the stem cells to go do the repair. She didn't get any scan to verify if a bleed happened or not, it was only suggested by the OH YE WISE White Coat. She hasn't any other symptoms of a stroke, it could of been a small one if that happened. And she is not going to go to the chop house again unless it seems totally unmanageable. Which it is stable. It sounds to me like there is something in the optic nerve or something leaking in the eye ball. duhhh (that was a brilliant conclusion). Plus she has diabetes. So if you can think of anything to do please let me know, as Mike is handling her emailing and she has reduced the load a lot.
