101 filmmakers, 101 NGOs, 101 hours

That just about sums up the film project named Genesis. Each film will be of five minutes duration,will be shown in theatres in Bombay, to begin with, and judged by Anupam Kher, Rati Agnihotriand Sachin Khedekar.

Genesis means the coming into being of something new. Through this alliance of filmmakers and charities, these talented young folks (some of them foreign returned) wish to make a difference in the world by promoting new ideas.

This is the brain child of filmmaker Madhusudan Agrawal (who talked to me at length about a fortnight ago). He and his associates will call on me shortly.

AIDS Alternativa and Natural Health Centre are the two NGOs, I head, that have been selected for films on AIDS Awareness and Vaccines Danger. I am yet to know who will be the filmmakers to be assigned to me.
