Hi families and friends- Greetings from Udaipur! Hope all is well. We are all fine and gearing up for the Families Learning Together Gathering in Goa …many of the familes coming are involved in organic living such as unschooling, homebirthing, vaccine/medicine- free healing, healthy cooking, etc. see http://www.swaraj.org/shikshantar/familieslearning.htm We now have a good amount of details for the gathering—thanks to friends in Goa . The Gathering is going to begin on the 25th by lunch and end by the same time on the 29th..

basically means 4 whole days and nights of fun and lea! rning. The venue of the gathering is in North Goa and the number of young and old coming to the gathering is approximately 55 (that’s all we can accomodate in that space). We have booked a whole guest house with a fully equipped kitchen so that we can cook and enjoy fresh and healthy food right there. So come with ideas and interesting recipes as well, also local organic grains or food varieties. . The guest house is in Pernem, Arambol (map is attached for little information about location vis a vis the rest of Goa ), this is north Goa and quite far from Panaji and Central Goa where the IFFI will be going on…just to make

dormitories with adequate number of Bathrooms and Toilets - bathing on the beach doesn’t really need anything but a towel which you will need to bring with you. They have bedding for all of us. You can bring beach accessories and games. I still need to find out if there is space to pitch tents if people want to bring their own ones.. Please bring things that you may like to share about your family with others. We may be able to arrange for a laptop for films that you may want to screen! for everyone.

Please bring ideas for interesting activities that we can all participate in together-art, theatre, dance, music,stories etc. There are a lot of beautiful spots for long walks and climbing, so be prepared for some of that. We have three young friends Sunny, Manoj and Shammi from Udaipur who will be cooking all of our meals during the gathering- they will require a good amount of help in the Kitchen from all of us so please be ready to cut and chop and devour as and when they ask. We also have families in Goa who will be willing to host outside families in Goa after the gathering is over, so that can be worked out during the gathering. I need to have the list of participants in my hand by the 17th so that we can finalize supplies and other little details. I would like you to confirm your participation asap with the number of members you are coming with..we can also get more detailed directions and travel advice from friends like Navina and Anna once your sure you are coming - I can give you their contact information.
